They just finished performing Bryant Park. Emcee called me and let me listen in. "Season of Love" sounded great as usual. Tracie and Idina officially freaking OWN "Take Me or Leave me" - that was one of the best performances of that I've ever heard, even through a phone. I still have goosebumps!

Pictures from the Today Show performance are up on gettyimages.com (editorial) now.
Yes, there will be action on Christmas Day according to the last report. Day one of the narrative is "Rent" through "Light My Candle." Day two is "Today 4 U" through "Will I?" Day three is "Santa Fe" through "La Vie Boheme B." (not sure if this means that parts of "Will I?" and "Life Support" also take place on Day 3)

Does anyone know if anyone recorded, videoed, the Bryant Park performance? I know that on other sites there have been up-loaded recordings. Let me know please...I soooo need to see Take me or Leave me!

TheActr, what does it mean? I'm probably too white and suburban to know.
Sounds bad, though.

I know Emcee videotaped it, but wether she's able to get it online or not is another question.

With a dash of something else thrown in from the backside . . . I think . . .
I bet NBC had no idea what the shirt meant . . .
Pretty funny, and a wee bit . .. well . . . umm . . . I need my morning coffee to even continue on this thought.
At least they did not ask about the shirt!

Tacky? Funny?
Oi.
I know, geek. She said she'd probably have her computer back and functioning in a day or so... but I'm not sure if she'll be able to get the video up or just the audio

The Today Show performance was lovely... and I'm so sad I missed Bryant Park. I'm glad Emcee enjoyed herself, but damn, I think we'll all be needing an audio/video fix of it soon.

Ok, watched it and recorded it this morning off tv. I managed to wake up about 30 sec. before they performed, such good timing! IT WAS AMAZING! And the poster!!!!! I was shocked that the poster was out...unless of course there is another thread that I've missed...I kind of wish it was different in style from the OBC poster but I did like the pic of maureen w/ joanne. I couldn't read the text on it though...oh and I loved how rosario had a cow hat on! and that they were all kind of dancing on the side when adam and anthony were singing. kinda bothered me that katie couric had to add in "....and Idina Menzel, formerly of wicked of course!" actually, we all know it was rent first but oh well I guess we had to expect wicked to be mentioned seeing thats about all anyone ever associated her with anymore especially on tv. I'm really curious what part of the film the clip was actually from...

***********SPOILER***********
Mark responding to the voicemail from his mother in which she says, "So let her be a lesbian. There are other fishies in the sea." He basically says that sometimes he asks himself why he chose the "dirt broke" lifestyle and remembers why whenever parents call with embarrassing messages. At this point in the film, Mimi and Roger have already sung Light My Candle but Mimi is still trying to court Roger through this letter-carrying string leading from her window to his. Moments later, Collins arrives with the food and Angel, who performs Today 4 U.

I kind of wish it was different in style from the OBC poster
I'm completely disagreeing with you on this opinion. I just LOVE the fact that the posters look like the OBC ones. This movie is staying very true to Rent's roots - especially with the promotions.
