RIP Inga Swenson! 

 

She was a rising star star on Broadway in the 60s, nominated for two Lead Actress in a Musical Tonys. 

She left Broadway and New York to do television in LA and never came back sadly.

She was absolutely brilliant in the villainous role of Ingrid Svenson on Soap. I had no idea that she was also a stage actress. RIP

I grew up watching her on Benson. I had no idea that she had such a storied stage career as well and that she was born in Nebraska. RIP.

She also played the role of Kate Keller,Helen's mother,in the film version of The Miracle Worker. One of my favorite films.
