Oh dear! RIP.
"If this is going to be a Christian nation that doesn't help the poor, either we have to pretend that Jesus was just as selfish as we are, or we've got to acknowledge that He commanded us to love the poor and serve the needy without condition and then admit that we just don't want to do it." -Stephen Colbert

What a terrible shame. I got to see him twice onstage--he was phenomenal.

He pulled off the nearly impossible: making a would-be pederast likable and sympathetic in THE HISTORY BOYS. I will never forget that towering performance nor his angst-ridden Dysart in EQUUS. May he rest in peace.

Never saw him live on stage, but love his film work. He will be missed.

This is so sad and he was so young still. RIP Mr. Griffiths

Great actor! He was terrific as the evil Vernon Dursley in the 'Harry Potter' films. RIP!

Personally liked his appearance on The Vicar of Dibley as the Bishop. Turned very few lines into hilarity.

I saw him in The Sunshine Boys with Danny DeVito in London last year - they made an unlikely but terrific team. I know there were plans to bring the show to the US. What a shame. RIP, a wonderful actor.
