I heard Rain might move to the Brooks after it is done at the Neil Simon in January because Catch me is going into the Simon in March and Rock of Ages is leaving the Brooks in January.
Anyone know if this is true
I hope so

Yes, you heard it on the other thread that discussess whether ROA was closing/moving.
Was this thread REALLY necessary?
That's all dependent on whether or not DRIVING MISS DAISY will transfer to Circle In The Square until OKLAHOMA comes in so that BRIEF ENCOUNTER can continue it's run at the Golden when TIME STANDS STILL takes Studio 54 to make room for ELF at The Cort which has to move so that H2$ can move in.

Im thinking if a green day musical can be open run why can't a beatles one
Their's no reason why Ran should end in January even if it needs to move theatres
Look American Idiot(Which some people call the green day musical) is still running

Brief Encounter isn't at the Golden, It is at Studio 54
Time Stands still is at the cort
Elf is a holiday show which has no reason to extend
Yes, I know it's at Studio 54. I said it had to move to the Golden so that TIME STANDS STILL can move to Studio 54.

It's ticket sales. Plus Rain tours. It's not going to close for good. It's just gonna go back on tour.

The cast of Rain was on the Today Show Friday and they said the show was extending. It also seemed from what they were saying, that there was still something under wraps that would announced soon. The video may be up on the Today Show website (it was during the 10am hour).
I have it on good authority it will happen. Also, if MEMPHIS doesn't start doing better it will be moving to the Vivian Beaumont in the Spring to allow PRISCILLA to move into the Shubert once it leaves The Palace theater which frees that up for the Stephen Schwartz PINOCCHIO that will open to celebrate the fourth of July.
Just shoot me in the head.

Seriously are all these shows gonna move around?
I just saw the Video on Utube I guess Rain made it official that they're staying on Broadway a bit longer, just didn't say where they're going to

I didn't think Memphis could go into the Vivian Beaumont for 2 reasons
A) Its wayy uptown
B) Isn't it a Lincoln Center house and Memphis isn't a Lincoln center show
The theatre is at Lincoln Center, yes but anyone who wants to rent it can do so.
Also, Broadway producers are trying to get more of their shows out of the "theater district" and more uptown. There are 5 or 6 new theaters being built now (I can't remember exactly, does anyone know for sure) above 80th street to help the city's economy and struggling restaurants outside of the theater district. They won't be completed for a long time in order to coincide with the 2nd Ave subway lines opening but the goal is to make New York theater more accessible to people who live uptown.

A part of me wants to put an end to it all, but another part thinks it's the funniest damn thread I've ever seen. Jordan, you are cracking me up!

I'm waiting for all this important breaking news to appear in the Post tomorrow.
Oh dear lord, I'm dying here.
Jordan, you're so in the know! I marvel at your connections!
I also have it on good faith that WICKED will be moving to the Booth after NEXT TO NORMAL closes so that Trevor Nunn can bring new productions of CATS and LES MIS (running in repertory) to the Gershwin.
What, so you're making fun of me?
WICKED is too big a show to move into The Booth.
I've also heard that Avenue Q will move back to Broadway to celebrate the opening since one of the new subways lines is the Q line!
