I posted about it in another thread the other day - I loved it! One of my favorite shows of the season, but not to everyone's taste (someone else responded in the thread calling it "torture".
It's a bizarre, wild ride of a play - I found it be highly entertaining, but definitely an absurdist, silly sort of humor. And underneath the wackiness I thought it made for a pretty striking portrait of young adults searching for a sense of identity.
I adored this, it's a little messy and pretty wacky but I really loved the emotional core of it. I had been hesitant since absurdism is something I've had a tough time in the past, but the way it's used here felt more "grounded" so to speak, so it really didn't bother me. The play is also way funnier than I expected. Some moments definitely petered out for me (I was kind of taken aback by the resolution to Mora's story and I wasn't quite sure what to get from that), but I definitely think there was a lot to enjoy and I might consider making a second trip back. I had been concerned after seeing The Trees that this might be another show that was "too weird" for me, but I'm really really glad I went.
It was really funny and very amusing, I just didn't get what the play was trying to say. It felt like there were so many plot lines happening with each character having something different going on.
