I ADORE Amoeba! My parent's friend Joe part-owns it. I've gotten...pretty much everything there that I couldn't find at Recycled Records in Reno.

I think theres one store that I live near enough to drive to that has a fairly decent selection of Broadway. It's sad how hard it is to find that kind of thing nowadays. It's all been replaced by pop and rap. :-/

haha seriously. People adore Hilary Duff and Snoop Dog but they dont have any idea who people like Jonathan Larson or Adam Pascal are....sad. Just plain sad. They know the lyrics "Move bitch, get out the way" like the back of their hands but they have never heard of lyrics from RENT or anything like that. What are we coming to?

Actually, there is a Best Buy near me which I find to be decently stocked with Broadway. I mean, you could at least get Wicked, Hairspray, Les Miz, POTO, Rent, BATB, Avenue Q, and some other stuff there. And then there's my library, where I can take out a CD and then put it on my itunes (though, if its any good, I usually make an effort to buy it... for example, I did that w/the Rent CD, and once I had a good understanding of the show, I OF COURSE bought the CD). :P

yeah Tower Records is pretty decently stocked near me. But even though you can find most of the well known recordings there the soundtrack section is banished to a far wall while all the new pop, rap, hip hop etc releases are commanding the front. Its the same with radio stations, my teacher told us that there used to be radio stations on the mainstream waves that were devoted to broadway.

BTW loudasthehelliwant, I love your icon. One of my favorite pics, love the look on Anthony's face. :-P
