Posted: 2/15/05 at 12:17amSeriously. 40 bucks shelled out for the RENT discs. Although I certainly think they're worth every penny but I think I've spent almost 90 bucks on RENT merchandise. Again, not that I regret it (that bible is my treasure) but geez. For that I still live off cereal for lunch sometimes. :-P
I wanted to get something that an "ex"-junkie like him would really appreciate and cherish....it's a brick of heroin shaped like a heart.

Woah...I got a 71 and I've never met you. Does this mean I'm really good at sensing stuff about other people??? Hmmmm....
Anyways, what are some of your favorite RENT lyrics? The reason I ask is because for my next free project in art class I'm going to do a text painting with lyrics from RENT. It's going to be really awsome (I hope) and its going to have a very bohemian artist, urban feel. If anyone has suggestions for what to put on it (I'm gathering lyrics by flipping through the booklet but I may easily miss some) that would be great. Thanks!

That'll really help. I'm having the biggest problem trying to figure out which parts to cut etc. I basically want to put everything on it but theres only so much canvas. I'm sitting here going "Hmmm well I could take this line out...but no that's a great line...then there's THIS one...but no I love that one too..." arg. :-P

So it's basically 2 canvases with slightly different color schemes and layout etc, but can essentially be shown together as a group. I just couldn't fit it all on one canvas! :-P I hope it turns out well but even if not, it'll be alot of fun.

Just started the companion piece. The first one was using cool tones (blues, purples etc) but this one is using browns, reds, maroons, and black. It's turning out pretty well so far, and I'm thinking about adding in some pictures even of the cast. I dont know yet. but thanks for the quotes you guys. If the piece ever goes up in a show I'll be sure to give you guys some credit.
