Kevin McCollum has some cheap tickets ala Hand to God for Play That Goes Wrong doesn't he? Or maybe that was limited time as well.

I do recall there being a promotion for very cheap tickets a couple months back for The Play That Goes Wrong.
...though I suspect they will eventually just be giving tickets away...

The Indecent artwork off-Broadway is so much more compelling than their Broadway counterpoint. And Sweat's is just awful. Such a great play, but you'd never know it.

The Play That Goes Wrong was at one point selling all orchestra and mezzanine seats for $25 and all balcony seats for $15.

With fees, the Play That Goes Wrong tickets that I bought were about $35.

Wasn't that a deal just for the previews?

Yes, it was for a limited time. I don't remember if there were certain dates you could pick.

Sadly, this is the main reason why new plays aren't producer more. It's a major financial risk (well, anything is really). I always here "Why aren't there new plays..." this is why!

That's preposterous. First of all there are a huge number of plays produced. What you mean is that there are not all that many produced commercially on Broadway, and the answer to that is simple: there is not a broad market for them and they are therefore produced mostly by non-profits, on and off Broadway. Why are there not more operas or ballets produced commercially? What makes it to Broadway commercially are the rarefied breed of play that someone thinks can find an audience and, to a lesser extent, plays that some rich people think ought to be seen there, without regard to any intention of recouping.

Everything is a risk. Getting out of bed every day is a risk.
