So, according to Riedel, the finalists for this years' Pulitzer are "Ruined," "Becky Shaw," and "In the Heights?!?!
Oh Wacky Riedel! "In the Heights" premiered in 2007! Don't you know it's not eligible? You wacky person, you!

I must have been the only one who thought Becky Shaw was atrocious. I thought the writing was so terrible.
I would love to see "Becky Shaw" win this.

Riedel isn't the only one who mentioned ITH; the Playbill.com column said the same.

How? Why? In the Heights is one of my favorite shows of all time, but it's not exactly groundbreaking.
Riedel is such a ****in a$$hole with his continuous jabbing at IN THE HEIGHTS. It has been like two years, get over it, Riedel.
It sucks for LaBute that his play is not on the "recommended" list.
I'm sure it will go to RUINED.
Elizabeth Ashley joined AUGUST in January. He makes it sound like she joined last week. It's April now.

Did the off-broadway production of N2N count as the premier of the work? Because otherwise I truly don't understand it's omission.
WannaBe, I literally lol-ed at your post. It's so true. I thought he was gonna talk about rumored casting.

I'm not sure how In the Heights would be eligible, but whatever.
And yeah, reasons to be pretty should be on that list.

If ITH really is eligible this year, then its likely N2N would be eligible next year.
ITH premieres OB in 2007, Opens on Broadway March 2008.
N2N Premieres OB in 2008, opens on Broadway April 2009.
But I really can't understand how ITH would be eligible this year.
Michael Riedel is such a little c*nt. But reading his column is a guilty pleasure.

"Becky Shaw" shouldn't get it at all. It's just an overlong sitcom.
"Ruined" was good, but I don't know. It just didn't seem "Pulitzer" worthy to me, nor did "reasons to be pretty." But I don't know.
And "In The Heights" is on the list? Say what? Is this April Fools all over again, I mean seriously.

Yeah, i agree ITH really doesn't deserve a Pulitzer. it's a great and fun show, but the book i so subpar.

I guess if "Anna in the Tropics" can win, then "Ruined" should win.
