"RING OF FIRE – on CD With the opening of the all new Phoenix tour RING OF FIRE, Time Life and Warner Brothers have set a national release date for the long awaited, original cast recording of RING OF FIRE. The man, the legend, the music in an all-new collection like no other. On October 30th, 2007 in Reno, Chicago, Fargo, Minnesota, Buffalo…It’ll be everywhere!"
Maybe after I hear this I'll be more inclined to see the tour when it comes to town, but as of now, there is nothing in me wanting to see this show. There is no story. The sets are lame. The staging is lame.

It's ok; the fact that 10/30 is also the anniversary of the first War of the Worlds broadcast should balance it out, right? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_30

I cannot believe there are actually some poor fools out there who actually want to dump more money into this thing.

There's so little available of Jarrod Emmick out there that I'll get it for him alone. It's easy enough to hear Johhny Cash (or for that matter, Joaquin Phoenix). Jarrod needs a new show where his many talents can shine.
jaystarr, I actually would like a The Times They Are A-Changin' recording just so I could listen to Michael Arden sing! And as for Lestat, I know a girl who saw Elton John at an AIDS benefit and was going to yell "Release Lestat!", but then remembered the episode of Will & Grace with the Gay Mafia led by Elton John, so decided against it.

ATTENTION FANS: I will be played by James Barbour in the upcoming musical, "BroadwayWorld: The Musical."
I knew you'd pop up WAT. I hate to say it, but it probably works better on disc. I love the work of Cash, so I'm excited this is finally going to be released.
I can understand not wanting to buy it, and I can understand not thinking it will do well.... but not wanting it to be released at all?!?! Let the flop collectors/ theatre aficionados/ people who might actually like the show have a recording for posterity!
