Not sure how many Toronto theatre-goers are on here, but I just heard an ad on the radio promoting Rock of Ages coming to the Elgin Theatre from February - May.
This strikes my curiosity because it seems to be presented by "More Entertainment Group". I can't find anything about this company or the "team" behind the company.
Fellow Toronto theatre-goer here. I noticed the exact same thing as you - I've never heard of them and the website talks about how they're this up and coming entertainment company but no information that isn't a direct quote from their website seems to exist anywhere else online.
When you go to their "about us" page: https://moreentertainmentgroup.com/home/, you'll notice that they have big plans, but the launch dates are all in the future. So it looks like they haven't actually done anything yet, and ROA is their first event. So I think we'll have to wait and see if their big plans pan out...

Glad it's not just me LOL. I noticed the same thing as you on all their plans. If the first show is in a little over a month, you'd think they would want to be promoting themselves
The only reason why I know about this, is because I follow the Elgin/Winter Garden Theatre page on Facebook, and for 2 days they were updating every performance as an event. The producers seem to be new to the scene, and I welcome anyone willing to produce a big musical in Toronto.
I made it known to Meridian Hall when I gave my donation, that I loved and really appreciated them bring the tour of Spongebob Spquarepants the Musical, and want them to bring more Broadway tours.
Not very many ticekts are sold, if you look on Ticketmaster. I think the theatre and show are all wrong. I will be surprised if this makes it.

It's the wrong show for Toronto, certainly the wrong venue for this show, there's a head-scratching lack of diversity in the principal cast, and their social media campaign and tone is embarrassing. I can appreciate a new company attempting a show on this scale, but right out of the gate, they are making big mistakes. I'll still see it, but I'll wait for a discount.
