Rock, Rockwell, and Kazan set for McDonagh's "Spokane"?

It says there have long been rumors, but this is the first I've heard of this.

"Casting for the play, the first by McDonagh ("The Pillowman," "The Lieutenant of Inishmore") to take place in America, remains up in the air. Chris Rock, Sam Rockwell and Zoe Kazan have long been said to be eyeing roles, but an actor for the play's fourth role has not yet been confirmed."

"Spokane" is about a missing appendage, a couple of con artists and a hotel clerk.

At this point, they could cast John Stamos and Gina Gershon in this, and I would still see it, based on that tag line.

I don't care who is cast, I just want to see another McDonagh play! The Pillowman still remains one of my favorite theater-going experiences ever.

Sam Rockwell's had some good days and he's had some bad ones. For every "Choke" (and keep in mind, I love Chuck Palahinuk), there's a "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy", movies where he's very often the best thing in there.

Martin McDonagh is my favorite playwright, I'll see anything he does past present and future.

That said, I can't say I'm excited about the prospect of Chris Rock. Why not hire the magnificent Jeffrey Wright, who is you know, an actual ACTOR as opposed to a comedian?

There's one other actor joining the cast... and it sounds like the ideal match of performer and material.
Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.
