Jordan -- I've always assumed this was a older teen/young 20s audience. I would have never have expected people older than that to take a consistent interest. Heck, I first started going to RHPS when I was 16..before I was done with college, I was totally over it. My clique of theater geek friends went a couple of times a month....my mother couldn't understand why we'd keep going back to the same film.

Never saw anyone have sex during the film though...darn suburbs.

Here in Ct, a small theater in Bridgeport staged Rocky Horror for maybe 4 yrs in a row starting in the beginning of Oct to Mid Nov. It was always busy and found an audience in an annual Halloween way.

I think of Rocky Horror as a halloween type thing too and feel it would do very well in NYC every year around sept-oct-nov in a small theater. Why not? It doesn't have to be that lavish. Just FUN.

why can't they just do the stage version of Rocky instead? It's much more exciting than the actual picture show with a shadow cast.

ACL, if you are asking why New World can't do it, they don't have a house open that is big enough to stage it I don't think. Stage 5 is open right now but I am not sure that stage would be right for Rocky Horror. It is a small theater.
