Some actors just seem born to play a role, but what are some roles that you think an actor is just so perfect for but hasn't played yet?
I don't think she's yet the right age for it but I recently saw a college production of THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and thought gosh Lesli Margherita would be perfect as the chaperone.
Stephanie J. Block and Julia Murney as Diana in Next To Normal
Adam Lambert as Hedwig.
I believe he was actually offered the role for the recent Broadway production, but turned it down because he didn't want to do drag every night. He would have been so phenomenal.
Alison luff as Anastasia. Brian Darcy James as King Arthur is spamalot. Audra McDonald as Nettie fowler. Sasha allen as Nala.
Audra Mcdonald as Angelica Schuyler.

THIS.
I think Patti LuPone would have been a spectacular Elphaba in her day, had the show existed then. Bernadette Peters would have been a superb Glinda as well. It's too bad they'll never do that show.
Interesting to think in those terms.
Don't see the Peters as Glinda but Patti's Elphaba would have been a sight to see.

Sutton Foster, one of the great musical comedy girls of our time hasn't played Adelaide, one of the great musical comedy female roles of all time.
Stephanie J. Block as Rona Lisa Peretti.

Yes !!
Annaleigh Ashford as Fanny Brice is one I consistently bring up on here. I'm really hoping she gets tapped for the first Broadway revival. And while I'm on Ashford, she's also been wanting to do "Sweet Charity" for awhile, and I'd kill to see that happen.

Too bad Anne Bancroft never played Martha in "Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf?" She would have been brilliant.

A Young Patti Lupone would have made an incredible Fanny Brice in Funny Girl. She was offered the part in the 80's but turned it down.
Lupone also would have been a magnificent Witch in Into The Woods.

Adam Lambert as Dr. Frankenfurter. After Time Curry, I can't think of anyone more perfect for the role.

Patti was up for the witch in the original production but wanted to be Cinderella. I think she could still do the witch. I would kill to see her in that part.
Toni Colette as Sally
Laura Benanti as Phyllis
Patti LuPone as Carlotta
I think Patti actually could have been a great Cinderella. In the late 70's she had that ingenue look (and was beautiful in The Baker's Wife). By the time Into the Woods happened she probably was already well-known for belting all her leading men, and she would have been thrilling as the Witch (or possibly even the Baker's Wife). Hell, Patti LuPone could have played most parts on Broadway and probably would have been wonderful.
