Sherie Rene Scott as The Witch in Into the Woods
Kate Shindle as Elphaba in Wicked
"Kate Shindle as Elphaba in Wicked "
That would be amazing! :)
And Laura Bell can be Glinda again.
Marin Mazzie as Sally in Follies
Norm Lewis as George in Sunday in the Park... (or Norm in anything!)
Nancy Anderson as Janet in Drowsy
Donna Murphy and Bernedette Peters as Ms. Lovett in Sweeney Todd
Kerry Bulter as Sandy or Frenchy in Grease
Kristen Chenoweth as Lizzy Curry in 110 in the Shade
"Norm Lewis as George in Sunday in the Park... (or Norm in anything!)"
I haven't heard any of SitP, but I can agree that Norm in anything would be fantastic! I'm not completely sure if he has the right range for the part of Chauvelin in The Scarlet Pimpernel, but I think he'd do a great cover of "Falcon in the Dive" or "Where's the Girl".
I always thought Cheyenne Jackson would make a good Chris in MISS SAIGON...
Hmm, this sounds like fun; some of the roles for performers off the top of my head (not very creative but still fun to dream!)
*Julia Murney: Mama Rose Lee in Gypsy(when she get's a little older)
*Cheyenne Jackson: Gaston in B&B (I second that! He looks just like the character)
*Sutton Foster: Sally Bowles in Cabaret
*Jesse L. Martin: The Plant (LSOH), Memphis in The Life, and Curtis in Dreamgirls (this man needs to come back to Broadway)
*Kerry Butler: Susan/other female characters in tick, tick, boom! and Kate Monster/Lucy the Slut in Avenue Q
*Kristen Bell: Maureen in RENT or Elle Woods in Legally Blonde
*Norbert Leo Butz: Rooster in Annie, Iago in Othello, Leo in Parade, and the Balladeer in Assassins
*Sherie Rene Scott: Miss Hannigan in Annie (what a cool combo that would be with NLB!), and Daisy in Side Show
*Adam Pascal: Freddie in Chess, Judas in JCS, and Burger in HAIR
*Mario Cantone: Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray
*Raul Esparza: Hamlet in...(get ready for it) Hamlet
Mario Cantone as Velma? Now that would be interesting to see...

Nathan Lane- The Wizard of Oz- Wicked
Anne Hathaway- Elphaba- Wicked OR Cathy- Last Five Years
Sherie Rene Scott- Ms.Lovett- Sweeney Todd
Anthony Rapp- Corny Collins- Hairspray
Norbert Leo Butz- Max- The Producers (that would have been SO cool)
Orfeh as Eva Perrone. 'Nuff said, she'd be brilliant.
Even though they've both done the roles before, I'd love to see Laura Bell Bundy as June and Laura Benanti as Louise in the same production of GYPSY :)
Otherwise, I definitely second Christine Ebersole as Margaret in THE LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA
Also, Erin Davie as Nessa Rose in WICKED
Patti LuPone as Carmen (the producer) in CURTAINS
Lauren Pritchard as Eponine in LES MISERABLES
Wow, a lot of these are absolutely brilliant.

brina-doll - Every time I watch the movie version of Rent and hear Adam Pascal sing the line "All your words are nice, Mimi," I think about how he would be an amazing Judas in Jesus Christ Superstar. I also think he would be good as Jesus in Godspell.
Kristen Bell in pretty much anything, but I think she would make a great Audrey in Little Shop, Amber in Hairspray, or Holly in Wedding Singer.
And I sencond Anne Hathaway as Louise.
"If we don't live happily ever after at least we survive until the end of the week!" -Kermit the frog "I need the money... it costs a lot to look this cheap!" -Dolly P. "Oh please, Over at 'Gypsy' Patti LuPone hasn't even alienated her first daughter yet!" Mary Testa in "Xanadu" "...Like a drunk Chita Rivera!" Robin de Jesus in "In the Heights"
"B*tch, I don't know your life." -Xanadu After that if he still doesn't understand why you were uncomfortable and are now infuriated, kick him again but this time with Jazz Hands!!! -KillerTofu
Phoebe Strole - Les Mis - Eponine
Raul Esparza - Rent - Roger
Kate Wetherhead - Company - Amy

Wow, Donna Murphy would be FABULOUS as Mrs. Lovett.
I would kill to see it.
(I know this is probably stupid, but I'd love to hear Orfeh sing EVITA.)
Oh... HAHA. I just scrolled down and noticed someone mentioned that before. Not so inovative.
Anne Hathaway as Amneris-AIDA (though she MUST play Louise in GYPSY)
Meryl Sreep as Cora Hoover-ANYONE CAN WHISTLE
Jane Krakowski as Nurse Apple-ANYONE CAN WHISTLE
Calista Flockhart as Harper-ANGELS IN AMERICA
Donna Murphy as Mother-RAGTIME (she workshopped the role)
Donna Murphy as Blanche-A STREETCAR NAMED DESIRE
Jane Krakowski as Sally Bowles-CABARET
Toni Collette as Sally Bowles-CABARET
Chandra Wilson as Caroline Thibodeaux-CAROLINE OR CHANGE
Neil Patrick Harris as Lt.Cioffi-CURTAINS
Erin Davie as Anne-A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC
Toni Collette would be incredible as Sally Bowles.
Toni Collette was supposed to replace Natasha Richardson as Sally during the run of the Roundabout revival of "Cabaret," but Equity wouldn't grant her permission to come over for it.
That sucks, I would love to see Ms. Collette's take on Sally.
Molly- I think it be really cool to see Adam as Judas, but I highly doubt he do it lol. It would be pretty sweet though!
I never got that. Didn't she end up on Broadway about a year after that anyways? Was that after her Oscar nomination?
I always thought she'd make a fierce Sally Bowles, after the WILD PARTY fiasco I doubt she'd be interested in being part of the proposed revival of the revival.
"Nathan Lane- The Wizard of Oz- Wicked
Anne Hathaway- Elphaba- Wicked OR Cathy- Last Five Years
Sherie Rene Scott- Ms.Lovett- Sweeney Todd"
I second these, for sure! There really are a lot of great casting ideas through out the whole thread.
I also have a new idea (although I don't know how accurate it is because I really haven't heard a lot of his singing)! Raymond McLeod sounds like a Mr. Rochester to me.
