On the tony red carpet, suggesting that Hugh Jackman brush up on his Brooklyn accent for Houdini. As I'm sure Jackman knows, but was too polite to correct Ms. Torre on, Harry Houdini was from Appleton, Wisconsin (via Hungary). The family later moved to Manhattan.

Oh lord, if we're going to count Roma Torre gaffes, we'll be here all night.
What's your poison, Jordan May I suggest shots of Sambuca "Roma"na.

She also just told Kelli O'Hara that it looks like she's done this before and then quickly caught herself and said well this is your 4th time.
Roma Torre means well, but it just doesn't work out in her favor, poor thing.
She told Kelly Ohara that it would be nice if she won ( pause.. pause),... for once. It came off nasty.
She told Bernadette she should start dressing her age and then asked Cristin Milioti if she's planning on seeing REBECCA.
I was enjoying 420 and now the feed is gone. Is it me?
She and I were backstage at an event once (Roma Torre, not Kelli) and she seemed to glow whenever the person working backstage referred to her as Ms. Torre. Is there anyone in the theater anymore who does that? George Abbott is long gone, kids. Even Sondheim asked people at a little Q&A I went to once to called him "Steve", citing that "Mr. Sondheim was my father."
Sorry, it's Tony night. The claws come out. Thank God for Patrick Pacheco.
Is there any other coverage on? I have no feed.
These live feeds are always ****ing with me.

I literally gasped when she said "...for once."
I know she meant it as "you're insanely talented and deserve to win one of these" but it came off snide.
She also said "fellow nominee" to Cassie Levy and Richard Fleeshman.

The red carpet coverage has ended but now there's coverage of the party in Times Square.
Thank you. Thank you.
Ripples and Shrek are being interviewed in Times Square!
Edit: Please tell me someone else saw that AWKWARD Alice Ripley and Brian D'Arcy James interview.

I had two revelations this evening:
1. I love Nina Arianda.
2. Roma Torre is unbearable.

So can anyone say what happened with Ripley and Brian?
It was just... uncomfortable. They didn't seem to be able to hear each other over the noise in Times Square.
Started out with a joke about Brian's eyebrows, then the girl interviewing them asked questions to Alice about her songwriting/album, and Alice didn't seem like she really cared or wanted to talk about it much, and said she sells her songs online for 99 cents, and if you don't like them, email her and she'll give you your money back(!).
Then the interview shifted to Brian being on "Smash" and the girl grilling him on whether or not he'll be back next season, and Brian trying to dodge the uncomfortable subject. Alice was standing in-between Brian and the interviewer, and eventually said "I feel like I should be standing off to the side..." and moved around to Brian's other side. Eventually they abruptly ended the interview so NY1 could reveal the results to some poll they were conducting, and Alice/Brian just kept standing awkwardly half out of the frame.
