re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

Wasn't Rosie banned from hosting the Tonys or something like that?

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

If she hosts, I'll just read the results online the next morning.
I'm not watching here yell and scream all night about wonderful every show is, and then go and bash TV people.

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

Angela and Rosie were my favorite Tony hosts. I'd love to see either of them host again.

If she did host, you bet your ass she would hire a trump impersonator to do something with her.

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

I loved when Rosie hosted the Tony's. I hope they bring her back. I feel that she has done a lot for the Broadway Community. I know the her show exposed me performers and musicals that I otherwise would have never heard of. She's swell.

If Rosie hosted I would throw up and then not watch the show.

She needs to learn how to keep her mouth closed. Because she has a MAJOR case of diahrea of the mouth.

She stands up for what she believes in and I admire her for that. I only wish more people had the balls to say what's on their minds.

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

Thank you, onlylisab. I like Ellen as much as anybody else but she's never shown much interest in Broadway or even theatre in general. Rosie has ALWAYS been a theatre supporter and very vocal about it. I seem to remember that the times she hosted the show did a little better in the ratings than usual as well. I love Megan Mullally but she's not really a very good host, she's great when she's playing a character but on her talk show she was really not good.

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

Yuck, I have no interest in watching Rosie host. . . I don't feel like watching her sneer (which I suppose is supposed to be a smile) throughout the evening.

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

I will watch the Tonys no matter who hosts it (with the possible exception of Donald Trump).

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

Thing about the TONY shows Rosie hosts is that there are always really good musical numbers but she can't sing them. Her voice is soo bad

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

She never claimed to be a great singer. She's enthusiastic about Broadway! I love hearing her parodies of Broadway songs.

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

I would like to see Rosie. What about Bette Midler? She's been on broadway, a brilliant performer and a wonderful commedianne; opening number could be really awesome. re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

I hope she doesn't. For the most part, I like her on The View, but she just wouldn't fit with The Tony's anymore.

Also, she kind of ruined the opening Rent number for me. She was just so awkward.

I like the Martin Short idea, though. I could see that happening.

What about Billy Crystal?

re: Rosie hosting TONYs?

I thought she was hilarious!!!! She really should host them...she's better than that guy they've had...what's his name...oh, yeah...Hugh Jackman...Yuk!!!

I like Billy Crystal as a host, too...although I don't really know what his politics are...

Only if The Donald is a co host

That would be a ratings Bonanza

Maybe they could have a reality show in which America chooses the next Tony's host/hostess. (kidding)
