$35?
yeah... if it were 25.. i MIGHT consider seeing it eventually.... but 35??
I wonder how hectic this will be to get tickets.
This is in addition to the lottery?
I wonder where the seats will be.

Subject to availability, so I imagine it'll be like Gypsy to where you just get a seat wherever - usually the crappy ones. Since it's not selling that great in the "off season," i don't think the student rush will be too bad in Jan-Feb.

the only other Broadway show that I remember charging that much for student rush was the recent revival of Company.
Regardless, it is cheaper then a discount code and only ten bucks more then the usual student rush price that we all know and love. Considering I am one that loves the show I am happy that I don't have to just wait till I can afford a ticket on TKTS and I can go more easily.
Great, as if I didn't regret paying $60 each using the discount code already.
Sweeney Todd and Company both charged $35, so that price isn't all that outrageous... especially when you consider that shows are under no obligation to offer a discount to students at all.

Ah! Wonderful news!! I say it's worth 35 dollars definitely. I love the show! :)
Thanks for posting!
I gladly paid the $35 student rush price for Company - I ended up in the front row center inches from Raul during "Being Alive." So very worth $35.
I do want to see Shrek (the techie in me loves inspecting all the tech in big budget shows) and should be back in the city in Feb, so it is nice to have a cheaper student option in addition to the lotto. $35 is still a bargain when the top price is around $120.

I never complain when a show is offering a discount such as a student rush or lotto. Considering that they don't even have to do that in the first place. I understand that there are times that you don't know what seat your getting until you get the ticket. That is all well and good for me considering that I am not a seat snob. But, I don't like people who are complaining about the seats that they get via student rush after they get them. They go in there knowing that the seats are random and that you don't know where your going to be sitting until your at the box office. If your a seat snob then don't do student rush.

I just checked on telecharge to answer your question. They list if a show has a lotto or student rush etc and the details. Shrek's page on there does say that it does have a student rush so I am guessing it is affective as of right now.
Hi all, I was just wondering if anyone had gotten tickets through this rush yet. I am planning on going later this month with my cousin and was wondering if anyone had an idea of what kind of seats they're giving out.
Thanks so much for any and all info!
I haven't gotten tickets through student rush, but I met up with my friends after they saw the show, and I saw a ticket for rush on the ground.
It was H 21 I believe.
Has anyone tried this yet? Any luck?
one more try... anyone try this? Also, how hard has the lottery been?

Tried today at like 2:30 (not much of a try I know), but they were gone by that point.
I went last night around 5:15 and they offered me rear mezzanine row N center on the aisle for $36.50. I passed, I'm a bit of a seat snob. At least that gives you an idea of what they're offering.

When I went on Tuesday night, I got a seat in the center rear mezz. It was a good seat--the show is huge. We ended up moving up to the front mezz for act 2.
I tried today around 12:30 for the matinee and they said they didn't do rush on weekends and to try a weeknight. I ended up 6th row at Marvelous Wonderettes instead.

That's weird...I went tonight at around 7 and asked if they had any rush tickets left. They had 1 (I needed 2, so I didn't go). But they definitely offered me a rush ticket and I guess they weren't sold out.
