It’s playing at Huntington Theatre in Boston this fall as a pre-Broadway engagement.

I have tickets to see a 'pre-Broadway' engagement at the Huntington Theatre in Boston. Best part: sitting in the 11th row orchestra for $30. The 10th row was about $80 more.

Jack DiFalco (of Torch Song and others) posted on his Instagram story today that he is starting rehearsals for a new show. He blocks out the logo on his script, but it is obviously Sing Street. Looks like he will be playing "Barry."

So Johnny Newcomb isn’t continuing with the production. I really like Johnny in the role at NYTW.

Broadway World announced the cast. I can’t figure out how to link it but it looks like only two cast members from NYTW are transferring with the production. Too bad as I really enjoyed the cast before. I’m looking forward to it nonetheless.

Carter is an instant upgrade over Devlin as Raphina.

Sorry. It now looks like three cast members from NYTW are continuing with the production

I really liked Zara both times I saw the show.

Is Sing Streets “original Broadway cast” album still an original Broadway cast album if most of the original Broadway cast won’t eventually perform it on Broadway?

Not saying Devlin was bad, but many would say her acting outshone her singing considerably at NYTW (and I had heard her material was going to be beefed up a bit for Broadway).
From what I’ve heard of Carter when she was in the recent Once On This Island revival, she’ll bring an excellent singing voice, in addition to some wonderful acting choices.

I actually really liked Devlin’s performance, but I will admit her singing left a lot to be desired.
Nothing against any of these actors - I’m sure they’ll be great. But I am kinda sad that Gus Halper and Brennock O’Connor aren’t continuing with the show. Also - is it just the photos, or does the actor playing Conor look noticeably older than the actor playing his older brother?

Casting changes seemed inevitable - time and aging of young cast aside - given the changing social winds from before vs after the pandemic.
will definitely miss Gus Halper, the character was a highlight of the movie and NYTW staging, and the song they gave him was great and he knocked it out of the park
