Same.

But its very odd that they'd announce 5 departures, stay mum on the 6th, then announce shes leaving with the other 5 and is being replaced by last year's Seymour. I wonder if they were waiting on a bigger announcement that fell thru.

Or maybe Kelsie originally intended to stay with the show but another opportunity arose.

I don’t think the odd cast rollout is any indication the show is heading toward closure. To me it seems like the show wanted to get a cast of reliable former performers alongside a few “star” casting choices to hopefully boost ticket sales.

Julia Schade, who has been conducting SIX since its North American premiere, will depart the musical on March 1.

From what Kelsie said in her post on IG, she was originally negotiating her next contract with Six but then another opportunity came thru. Sounds like Jasmine was essentially on standby to return if Kelsie’s negotiations fell thru.

At LAST!! And it only took nearly 5 years, NEARLY 5 WHOLE DOG-MAND YEARS!! Although this has got me thinking: What is SIX on Broadway/ North America going to do next? Reintroduce phone grabs? Hire super swings covering ALL of the Queens wearing the same color coded SwAlternate costumes currently worn in the UK productions. If so, I would love to see Maggie in the Pewter or Black costume and Lauryn in the Silver costume.

Dylan Mulvaney will be leaving the musical on May 31.

Curious to hear about who'll assume Boleyn for the rest of the current queens' contracts... an old face? A current alternate? A stunt cast?

Remember how we all speculated that Kelsie Watts was going to be continuing her SIX journey with this cast when there was no replacement announced for Seymour and she announced her departure to play Satine in Moulin Rouge? Maybe something similar is happening with Dylan.

You realize that they are legally prohibited from covering all the roles and from wearing alt costumes right?

This is a rumor that went around that is incorrect re: costumes. They can only cover three roles, four with special approval from Equity, but there is nothing in the rulebook that specifies the costumes must be identical - they just must have a set of costumes.

The Queens in this cast seem to be dropping like flies.

At this rate, I'm beginning to consider whether this is gearing up to be the final year for SIX on Broadway.

I think when they start stunt casting, it is concerning. But it has had a healthy run if this is the final year

I think they have switched to the Chicago model where they do shorter contracts to entice women to do the show who wouldn't necessarily want to commit for a year. Which I think is actually a good idea.
