At this rate, I'm beginning to considerwhether this is gearing up to be the final year for SIX on Broadway."
I think when they start stunt casting, it is concerning. But it has had a healthy run if this is the final year"
This IS their stunt casting....

Just did a google search and found they recouped in 2021, can't say I'm surprised given the small cast and weekly running costs can't be too much.
If this were to close, I'd say it had a very healthy run, something everyone should be very proud of. Wondering if maybe if those who wanted to see this have seen it by now whether in NYC or at a tour stop near them. Would an off-broadway transfer make sense? Or just continue running those tours through the US.
If I were casting/producers, I'd be reaching out to Whitney Leavitt to see what her plans are post Chicago.

I've seen people suggest New World Stages which isn't a horrible idea if Spelling Bee sticks to it's currently scheduled closing date.

Due to medical reasons, Adrianna Hicks is unable to finish the rest of her current contract, concluding her stint.
Current alternates Aiyana Smash and Lauryn Adams will play Aragon through May 8.

Khaila Wilcoxon takes over on May 18, so I wonder why theyre announcing the understudies through May 8 only?

Khaila's dates have just been adjusted: May 9 - July 19.

Has anyone managed to seen Kristin Maldonado as Boleyn? I have listened to her DLUH on YouTube and it was amazing like she was born to sing this part.

Well to be honest Heathers just announced their closing in November ahead of tour staring next year so you could be onto something here.

Any idea who is replacing Anna Uzele? I’d love to see Tasia Jungbauer play Parr on Broadway.

For a show that was always so crisp with casting---whole new casts, set contracts that didnt renew-- it really feels like the shows now running on casting fumes.... someone surely will be listed in the playbill tomorrow as Catherine Parr, right?

Six has always been very diligent with casting notices, even making posts for when an alt temporarily takes over (like when Adrianna left early.)
Not sure what’s going on here. It’s very odd they haven’t said who is replacing Anna

I have two theories.
1. they announce an early closing this week and alts take over for Parr this week
2. they have a big name up their sleeves for Parr

According to the official SIX on Broadway website, Aiyana Smash is Catherine Parr as of tonight (July 6th 2026 @19:00PM), having previously being an alternate for the role, alongside two other Queens.

Aiyana Smash has a killer voice, so congrats to her, but this still seems messy...without her as an alternate, they brought in Taylor Pearlstein from the tour, but she and Aiyana only cover one role together (Parr, actually) so unless I am missing something, they now have just one understudy for Aragon and Seymour?
With Khaila Wilcoxon and Kristen Maldonado leaving within the month, I wonder if they have a whole new cast coming in? If they were actually closing, theyd announce and milk the box office bump.

Smash is now confirmed to be playing Parr full-time through July 19; Pearlstein will stay with the Broadway company as additional alternate coverage until then.

The 19th is also when Khaila Wilcoxon will play her final performance. Maybe they'll either do a full cast change or announce a final cast change and announce a closing

Chloe Tucker Caine will make her Broadway debut as Anne Boleyn, and Stephanie Jae Park will replace as Catherine Parr. Both join the company from August 17 - February 14.

Tickets are currently sold up to mid November... could a January/Feb closing be in its future up to the holidays to close with a bang?

I'm wondering if they're going to close on Valentine's Day to play up that marketing.

And it's a sunday, if I was a betting man I'd bet on a 2/14/27 closing

I know this is getting way inside baseball, but it looks like Aiyana Smash will be Parr but also still understudying her two other tracks for however long shes in that role. I think thats a SIX first but makes sense since they now have 3 Parrs in the company but only one cover for her other roles.
It does feel desperate to have another "name" Boleyn--in the right hands its a great role, and it doesnt look like any of these "celebrity" ladies are bumping the numbers up all that much anyway. Seems like a smart bet that this will milk a closing announcement into the winter.
