I saw the show a few weeks ago and have NO recollection of what part he played in the show, I saw that he's pictured with the principals and he took a solo bow in the curtain call video I checked out online. It's driving me nuts! What was his part? Did he have any or parts in songs? I remember everyone else clearly. Thanks!

He plays Joe DiMaggio (Karen's fiance/husband-can't remember which).

He played Karen's husband. His main role was
inadvertently giving her horse laxatives.

If you haven't seen it...yes.
Karen's primary personality trait is that she bakes cupcakes for the cast and crew, something she mentions numerous times in the first act. When Ivy doesn't show up for the first preview, everyone thinks Karen will go on, so she eats the cupcake she baked for Ivy...except of course her husband spiked it with horse laxatives to prevent Ivy from going on, and Karen is the one who starts sh**ting herself and can't go on.
That's his character's sole purpose in the plot, without which he could easily be omitted or just be an ensemble member. Good for Garvin for getting a principal role, but yeah. It's understandable OP forgot him. He's not a character; he's a plot point.

I thought it was funny...sue me. What do I want in my Smash musical, Joe DiMaggio ensemble hunk saying something serious?
