The two guys were hysterical but didn't care for Shumer's character. Being from Denver, her character was off. Might find people close to that in the mountains and other areas but Denver is liberal. JMO

This should have been/could have been funny.  I do wonder whether there is some actual production out there that is being made fun of.  There have been very junior productions of Rent.

It is based on a real production, I forgot where, but I saw it on social media.

I thought they should have gone further with it. The only change was the diabetes and that joke couldn’t make the whole thing funny. They could’ve changed more lyrics, I don’t know.

Yeah, the throwaway Equus line got a big spit take out of me, but I am guessing that the households where that joke landed are few.

This is nothing. My boyfriend played Brad in Rocky Horror when he was- brace yourself- 12 YEARS OLD, and Susan Sarandon even came to the production. True story.
