Greetings...
Does anyone know if there will be student rush tickets or SRO for You're Welcome America A Final Night with George W Bush? Thanks for any info that you have...
Telecharge indicates that there will be standing room for $29.50. No info on student rush.

Hope not! I paid full price for 2nd preview! :P
But it would actually be awesome if there was (assuming it will be good).

I'd assume there would be considering Ferrell's status with the college age crowd, but hell, if they are selling-out, then prob not.
According to http://willferrellonbroadway.com there will be a Student Rush of $31 when the box office opens for the show. From the looks of it, I'd say it's one ticket per ID, but there's no direct statement that that is the case.
That website is awesome and I think I've found my show for Friday night.

Anyone rush this yet?
Sorry I have not rushed yet. I was also wondering if it was one ticket per id because if its two my dad would love to see the show too. I guess we will found out if its one or two per id soon enough and playbill also has it under their rush/lottery section.
yankees1253, it is one ticket per ID (as clearly defined by the policy listing.)
I rushed the first preview on Tuesday. There were three of us present when I inquired about rush tickets. The box office attendant didn't even ask for ID. They were $29.50 and we got Row A of the mezzanine all the way over house right. The aisle seat was somewhat partial view, but really the only thing that person missed was one small scene where Bush is on the phone stage left.
Has there been more of a clarification as to what the policy actually is?
Although the initial information said 1 per ID, Telecharge says the policy is 2 per ID (although Playbill and the show's official site remain ambiguous.)
Has anyone who has rushed recently provide any update such as when to show up, etc.?

I did the student rush today. I was probably tenth in line, but some people opted to let go of the "seats."
Because there are no seats. The student rush policy for this nearly-sold-out engagement is two tickets per valid ID, standing room only, $29.50 per ticket. Paid for them in cash, didn't ask if they take credit cards.
The box office guy was really nice, and he mentioned he doubt that policy will be maintained through the end of the run.
Are the spots worth it? I'm pretty tall. So that'd be a yes. Hope that helps.

Has anyone does rush lately for the show? I'm curious as to how it's selling and where the seats are located (if there are any to be given away). Thanks!
Bumping this.
Has anyone gone recently? Have rush seats even been available lately? If I get to the theater around 12:30ish, should there be seats left for that evening's show?

The show has been selling out lately and the only student rush available is supposedly the standing room tickets, which I've heard goes quickly when the box office opens.

I went about 2 weeks ago for the rush seats. As of then, they only had about 30 seats left for the last few weeks of the entire run. All of those seats cost 250-300 and are premiums. There aren't any more seats available.
Because of this, they eliminated student rush entirely and sold those seats instantly. The student rush is now for the standing room positions. The tickets are sold at 10:00 am and are gone by 10:05 at the latest. There aren't that many SRO spots. There are far more people that show up looking for seats than there are spots available. If you want the tickets, you need to get there HOURS before the box office opens. I know people who waited from 5:30 am onward for Spring Awakening rush tickets the weeks just after it won a Tony for best show.
I was not there early enough to get a SRO ticket and I was there a little before 10 am. Save yourself 30 bucks and just tape it when it's on HBO in a week and a half.
Good luck if you try for the rush!
Yeah I may just DVR it when it's on HBO. Thanks!
Got a standing room seat at 10:30am on a weekday no problem. Nobody else in line at the time. While I could tell most of the tickets had been bought by a line at 10, they did still have a few left.
I managed to find a free seat after the first 5 minutes of the show, so I got to sit. Between all of the corporate office groups continually leaving their seats to buy more wine in cups and the young couples using their Blackberries and shouting across the row to their pals, the ushers NEVER in a million years would've noticed me going to sit in a seat... even though I paid $29 for my ticket, and the people next to me paid $350...
I posted this on February 23 in the other thread:
I woke up for the rush on Sunday. I was there over two hours early and was the first in line. About an hour prior to the box office's opening, there was a pretty significant line behind me (although, there are two Sunday performances). It was absolutely worth the wait though, because I'm a huge Ferrell fan and the show is a scream! My standing room ticket was perfect. I was in the center at the back of the mezzanine. Perfect sightlines and not too high up, and I'm someone who doesn't usually like being in the balconies.
And in case anyone wants to know, Ferrell signed and took pictures for everyone in the crowd. He couldn't have been nicer.
you would have to think with the show selling very well if they'll extend it a couple more weeks.
BUMP
how is the standing room going to be for tomorrow for the night performance what time should i show up

How do I know?
You should line up at 7am. Maybe that's a guaranteed spot.
"you would have to think with the show selling very well if they'll extend it a couple more weeks."
Well, you have to consider Will Ferrell's schedule. Maybe he has other commitments.
They may not sell Standing Room tomorrow because of it being filmed. They'll need room for the crew and the equipment.
