Now that Patrick Page is in The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, who is playing Scar on Broadway?
is it really? man. they really need to update it then...
Playbill.com has always been my source for current casts, but they have been very, VERY bad about updating their "Who's Who" sections over the past several months.
I'm not sure who is playing it, but my cousin in the standby for Scar and he informed me that they were bringing someone in to cover the role while Page is in Grinch.
Is your cousin Jack Koening?? I saw him as Pumbaa!
The current Scar is Derek Smith. I have seen him a couple times and he does a great job.
derek smith is fabulous - he was scar before patrick page took over the role. on this same note...who is playing mufasa now that AFW is in the color purple?
WOW, some people on here that actually care about who is in Lion King, I was begining to think i was the only one around.
haha yes, we care.
i care because the lion king is a beautiful and life-changing experience. i also care because it is SO frustrating that disney, a huge well-respected and professional company, can't ever seem to update their casts lists or websites...it's been over a year since they changed the lion king!
I care very much. I love this show
Thank you for sharing.
Jess- I have heard that Nathaniel Stampley is now Mufasa on Broadway. Glad to know there are other Lion King fans out there!
oh cool, thanks!
guess the lion king and the color purple are now trading cast members
Jess and Misto, I feel the same way. I never dare post a thing about TLK cause I know someone will bash it. lol I don't blame them too much.
Anyway, my mom saw the show about 3 weeks ago and saw Derek Smith in it. I really want to get over there soon to see Josh Tower and some other people that are really good in the show. Anyone see Patrick in Grinch?
I just got the cast recording the other day. I hadn't had a chance to listen to it until tonight, but it is really good. I must admit that even though I love all things Disney, I put this show at the end of my "must see" list because of it didn't jump at me (I feel the same about Mary Poppins at the moment). But after listening to the recording tonight, it's going to be bumped up on the list!

I just saw the tour in Los Angeles, it was amazing and I highly recommend seeing this show!
Yes, Jack is my cousin! I haven't gotten to see him go on yet, since he doesn't get much notice, but I'm glad you got to see him!
