"Son of a Witch" the Musical... coming soon to a Wicked city near you!
- Can't you see it?
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
Oh dear me. I CAN see it. And it IS rather scary. I love Wicked, but I detest sequels.
The success of sequels on Broadway is just about non-existant.

"Son of a Witch" is the sequal to the book, which follows a different path and ending than the musical. You could write sequal to the musical that follows that show's ending, but the book follows a character who doesn't exist in the musical.
What about "Waltz of the Vampires ?

EVICTED!
"I think it was the Korean tour or something. They were all frickin' asian!" -Zoran912
Fifth of July - Sequel to Tallys Folly was a success..
But some of the worst shows I've seen on Broadway have been sequels : The sequel to Whorehouse and Bring Back Birdie come to mind.

How about "The Night in the Piazza"?
Brighton Beach Trilogy. But then again do they count as consecutive shows?
Phantom of The Dinner Theater
Les Happy-people
Dirtier, Rottener Scoundrels
The First 5 Years
Grease 27
BRING BACK BIRDIE anyone??
The ultimate sequel flop!
