#1Seating help for Kinky Boots, On The Town and Honeymoon In Vegas
Posted: 3/18/15 at 5:12pmComing to NYC in April and wanting to get my tickets in advance. I wanted to know what seats are recommended for Kinky Boots, On The Town, and Honeymoon In Vegas? I generally prefer front mezz seating in the theater if possible but I didn't know about the particular theaters and obstructions, etc. Also, if On The Town or Honeymoon In Vegas close before my trip, what shows would be recommended? Most longer running shows I've already seen so, I've considered Aladdin (if I can get tickets), Finding Neverland, and On The Twentieth Century. As always I appreciate any help and/or recommendations. Thank you!! :)

Other shows to consider:
fun Home
Finding Neverland
Something Rotten
The Visit
Fron mezz should be excellent for all of those choices

I think for Kinky Boots - you can pretty much sit anywhere as it's not a very big theater...and I agree front mezz is pretty perfect. I actually prefer it to orchestra in that theater. Front row has a bar you may or may have to lean over a bit depending on how tall/short you are - but it has more leg room than the rows behind.
On the Town - on the other hand - is in a huge theater and you don't want to sit too far back if you want to see faces, expressions..etc.
And I got a very cheap lottery ticket for Honeymoon in Vegas - and I was practically in the back row of the balcony and it was just fine. Also a pretty small theater.
I am seeing Finding Neverland tomorrow night for Preview. If there is anything specific about seating that i notice, I will get back to you. I have seen other shows there but every production is different.

Dont miss Honeymoon if its still playing. Loads of fun!
I found Fun Home a huge bore. I think the orchestra is best for Honeymoon

I saw Kinky Boots from the last row of the mezzanine, and the view was perfect. I imagine that anywhere on the mezzanine would offer a good view.
For On The Town, I sat in the third row of the balcony right in the middle. The view was absolutely perfect. I would definitely go with the mezzanine or balcony for On The Town because it is such a big show with a lot to take in.
For Finding Neverland (which I HIGHLY recommend), I was sitting in the rear mezzanine. It was a little too far back for my taste, so I would suggest going with the front mezzanine if possible.

Something Rotten has yet to be see. What if its a disaster? I would recommend Honeymoon. Anything but boring!

I second wanting to be close for On the Town, I saw it from the rear balcony the first time and enjoyed it much more when I was in the orchestra and able to see all the amazing dance up close!

Posted: 3/19/15 at 9:41amFor "Honeymoon" I would not recommend sitting in the first row of the front mezzanine. The stage is thrust out and the mezz rail blocks a lot of the view. I think orchestra or sitting a couple of rows back in the mezz would be better.
