please do not sit too close to the stage. Further back is actually preferrable in my opinion but I'm not saying last row. LOL enjoy.

I always advise to avoid any extreme sides, but the above posters are right - you don't want to be too close -- you want to be able to take the whole thing in. Mid-orch or front mezz is the place to be.

Thanks for the feedback! Unfortunately we only had one date/time we could attend and it was slim pickings on tickets. I'm hoping the show is "big" enough that we will still be able to enjoy. Looking forward to it! :)

I haven't heard people complaining from any seats about sightlines at all.

Enjoy.

I enjoyed the view we had from the center rear orchestra. I wondered if the overhang would block the acrobatics action higher up, but it didn't.

I have a seat in Orchestra C 1. I don't mind being close to the stage. from RC in Austin, Texas

"Noel [Coward] and I were in Paris once. Adjoining rooms, of course. One night, I felt mischievous, so I knocked on Noel's door, and he asked, 'Who is it?' I lowered my voice and said 'Hotel detective. Have you got a gentleman in your room?' He answered, 'Just a minute, I'll ask him.'" (Beatrice Lillie)

I was in mezzanine because everyone said the further back and higher is better and they were right so I would recommend the middle of the mezzanine is best. Our tickets were $59 each.

By the way, has anyone seen any celebrities in your midst when you've seen "Pippin"? Just wondering....from RC in Austin, Texas

I usually prefer the first row, but it was too close for Pippin. The stage is pretty high, so I missed some of the action towards the back of the stage. I still enjoyed the show!

I have seen it twice now. First from the front row, and that is too close for two reasons.

1 the stage is high. I am 5'10" and could not see a few items, namely a character's 'exit' during Morning Glow.

2. there is so much going on that you miss a lot when the entire ensemble is going on with all their acrobatics.

The 2nd time I saw it was from the extreme audience left in row G. I was happy at how little was obstructed. there are poles on stage that various cast climb and it was just out of sight, but you could see the cast member ascending it.

I did momentarily sit in the 2nd row on the left aisle and could just about see all the way to the back, so I would say that 3rd row and further is not obstructed (at least at my height) but mid orch or front mezz would probably be perfect

Can anyone tell me if you can have a better choice of seats by calling the box office. Online seating choice is good for this show, but the entire center orchestra is not available for many many nights two months from now. I can't believe they are all bought up already. Do i have any chance of getting, say, an aisle seat 5 or 6 rows back in the center orchestra if I call the box office, or am I limited to just using the online process?

Thanks for any insight on this

You can only utilize the box office in person. I'm pretty sure they use the same process, and wouldn't be able to offer you any different tix. Many of those seats are likely considered Premium and/or House seats. They might be released closer to the performance date.

The entire center section becomes available if you click the "I Want Telecharge Premium Seating" checkbox on the ticket order page. Of course, premium seats come at a premium price, about $235 per ticket. I picked a seat in non-premium row M and paid $150 for each. I hope I'm not disappointed with the cheaper choice.

Dramamama is correct. I work in a box office myself, and it is true that these center seats everyone wants are a) premium seats b) company holds or house seats or c) already sold. Front and center within the first ten or so rows usually ALWAYS goes first from my experience at the venue I work at... The box offices RARELY have seats set aside that are not available online unless they are accessible seats.

Thanks for all the information. That really helps. I initially thought I had seen a phone number for the box office but was mistaken. Like everyone else I always think there is a better way to get better seats. Thanks again
