Sex and the City the Musical

I always wanted to ask this question but didnt. After seeing the "Harry Potter Musical thread" I thought it would be my perfect time to ask. If a musical based on the popular television series/movie came out who would you cast as the four main leads

I would pick

Sammana : Heidi Blickenstaff
Charolette: Seira Bogess or Stephanie Block
Miranda: Sutton Foster or Sherie rene scott
Carrie: Not really sure.

Any thoughts on who you would cast?

I usually hate doing these, but because I'm watching an episode right now, why not?

Samantha - Felicia Finley
Charlotte - Stephanie Block (not the biggest fan, but I could see it working)
Miranda - Kate Jennings Grant
Carrie - Sarah Jessica Parker (just cause you know she wouldn't let them do the show without her playing Carrie seeing as she IS executive producer on all things Sex)
Big - Marc Kudisch? I really can't think of anyone who'd play this part as good as Chris Noth did.
Harry - Michael Cerveris (easy one)

See, now that I'm writing these out, I can't help but think that there will never be another Sex & The City entity besides film/television because the characters are SO iconic in relation to the actors who played them. I'm literally sitting here unable to think of a good Mr. Big, just because Chris Noth IS Big.

I was also thinking about the role of Big and I had a hard time coming up with somebody to portray him.
I think thouhg if anyone was given the role, Chris Sieber would do a good job with it

What about Kerry Butler for Carrie? A little young looking, I know.

Though, no one could ever be Carrie but SJP.

I would love it if this would happen but why not leave the show cast in the musical:

Casting:
Bitsy- Julie Halston ( Broadway star)
Her husband ( Nathan Lane) Broadway star.
Carrie: SJP( Broadway star>)
Miranda ( Broadway star many seasons and she can sing!)
Charlotte Kristin Davis. I don't know if she can sing but she loves theatre.
Magda( Lynn Cohen) Off Broadway award winner.
The list goes on.
Big also acts in plays (Chris Noth!)

Keep the cast from the show and film.

Give Lynn Cohen Magda a bigger part!

Why not cast Kristin as Charlotte. She is classic and an original. There could be a small walk on for Corine Cohen, NYC Blogger for NYC and Company or better yet a small blog. Carrie could run into me at an event for the City.

A City gal can dream. I'm a City original after all.
Carrie is a blogger because her column was cancelled due to budget cuts and she meets me at a blogger event for Mediabistro?
Who knows.

Carrie ranged from 33 - 38 on the show. Do you REALLY think Kerry Butler looks younger than that?

And this would be horrible, even with Namo's cast and script doctoring.

JRB should do the score - hell, the theme song is the same damn accompaniment as "Shiksa Goddess"/"I Could Be In Love With Someone Like You" anyway!

Actually, a JRB SATC musical doesn't sound half bad... are times really THAT hard?!
