Sex at the Palace

I've been to quite a few Broadway shows in my time, but tonight takes the cake. Went to see Legally Blonde tonight and had great seats in the front mezzanine. The lights dimmed at the beginning of the second act, but apparently not dim enough. A young couple was plainly visible having sex in the left box seats. Ushers scrambled over and escorted them out of the theatre.

Without getting graphic..what do u mean "having sex" ? That's crazy in such a visible public place. Wonder if that's a Broadway first.

When I was in a high school production of ...Forum, there was a girl who gave her boyfriend a BJ in the audience. And he...[ehem]-ed on our new dry wall!

It was at the beginning of the second act during "Whipped Into Shape". 2 ushers walked into the box and it seemed that they left quietly.

When I was in a production of "Our Town", there was some hand jobbin' going on in the audience. I guess some people like the thought of getting thir groove on during live theatre? Eh..... how 'bout not?!

but it was a straight couple
They were escorted out shortly after

Damn
I quess Broadway does need to bring back sex
to TIME'S SQUARE!

Why do these fabricated sex stories always happen at the Palace? Last time it was an orgy with the cast of All Shook Up. Why can't people be a little more creative?

The boxes really aren't all that far away from the stage. Actors can generally see the boxes pretty well in a lot of houses.

Maybe it happened because Reidel mentioned on Wed. that MTV was prostituting Elle Woods (they spelt it wrong).

Yes it did happen at the palace. Yes there was also that story of the cast during all shook up. But, the theatre is totally coincidental. I don't find these stories to be fabricated at all for a couple of reasons. First off they aren't posted on here every other day. If they were to some frequency I would have trouble believing them. But, considering the fact that they are not posted constently gives them some sense of credibility.

Also, it is known that people who have no sense of theatre manners at all do these sorts of things. I can't tell you the number of actors blogs I have read where they talk about this. Lea Salonga had an entry in her blog during her run in Les Miserables about how there was a young couple making out and it was visible to the whole cast.
