According to her official fansite, she isn't sick. Her chords are strained. Either way, I hope she's well rested and ready to go on in a few hours. I can't wait!

LizzieCurry and BSoBW2, you both really should take note of rKrispyt's post on the last page. And not just pertaining to this thread, but the boards in general.

Back to whose call it is about going on, I always thought it was primarily the actor's call. I remember when Adam Pascal hurt his knee the night before Cabaret closed, and people involved with the production didn't want him to go on for the closing matinee, but he did it anyway.

Anyone know what the lottery was like today?
Any news on if she's going on today?

It would be absolutely devastated if the producers were the one's who were able to tell you about how well your body was capable of doing something, but I can understand how they would be worried about the quality of the performance. They audition and hire you "at your best" for the most part.

I skipped 5 pages...
and it's her last day--I'm pretty sure the audience would like to see Shoshana, no matter what shape she's in. It's not really about the show, it's about the Sho.
Oh god...
I was going to say it's not about the actual show of Wicked today, it's about Shoshana Bean..but I had to make a lame joke.
I seriously think I'm going to go cry now.

Do you really think most of the audience even knows who Beanypoo is?
Most of them have had these tickets for months and probably think the original cast is stil in it.

Ugh, thanks God "it" is almost over.

I stand beside the fact that the voice doesn't bother me so much, it's the faces.

Not to threadjack or anything but on Shoshana Bean's fansite, they actually have a pic of Bean giving a personal check to Charity. Does she really want her bank account number all over the internet?

You know, I am not a huge fan of Shoshana. But, it would be nice for her and her fans to have a final performance.
And JerseyGirl - I agree, the facial contortions are a bit distracting when she sings.
I was going to write more, but it is just not worth the effort.

I can understand not enjoying someone's voice or performance. And to a certain extent I can even understand why some of you feel the need to write about your lack of enjoyment, although I almost never agree on the ways in which you do so...
but how on earth can you say something negative about donating to a charity?
