Shoshana's vacation

Hey everyone
Has anyone heard when Shoshana will be on vacation from Wicked? I am DYING to see Saycon as Elphaba. I love Shoshana but I really want to see Saycon.

I don't think she has one scheduled yet. She's only been there a little over two months--she doesn't need a break yet. And if she does, it's going to be along year for her.

Also, isn't Kristy Cates still the standby so if Shosh left, she would be Elphie?

saycon is the standby, kristy is the understudy- she goes on if both of them are out

One of the Wicked cast member told me that they can only take vacation time after 6 months. So it would seem that Shoshana wont be taking a planned vacation till at least July. And with the way Wicked is selling, especially during the summer, chances are that by the time she announces her vacation you may not be able to get tickets for that week.

She hasnt announced a vacation yet.
If you dont see her, I heard Saycon was very good as well.

Yeah Kristy Cates is the standby for the tour and Saycon Sengbloh is the current Broadway standby.

Kristy Cates was the understudy for Elphaba on Broadway. Then she brought up to Toronto after Block was hurt.

I believe she is staying with the tour as standby, and replacing Gasteyer (sp?) in Chicago after she leaves.

Kristy cates is the understudy on broadway now. Saycon Sengbloh is the standby. When Stephanie Block was hurt, Kristy was flown up to perform as neither of the tour understudies had been rehearsed yet. This summer, Kristy will join the Chicago sitdown production as the Elphaba stand-by and will assume the role in that production when Ana Gasteyer leaves the show

Kristy won't be standby on the tour, she'll be standby in Chicago.

I think the girl who plays Nessarose is the standby in the tour production...there are 2 understudies for Elphaba on tour, one is her and another is someone in the ensemble i believe.
