it's an absolutely ridiculous prediction to make. a show running 20 years from now?

MAYBE 10 but even then...

whether he turns out to be right or not, he just comes off as a big jackass. It's that simple darling.

It's the fact that this 6 year old dumbass said WICKED will run for 20 years.

Yes! Don't you love it how these wickedheads see ONE show 20 times and automatically think they are experts in the intricacies of Broadway finance?

Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!

I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

His Wicked prediction is the only one that could possibly come true. That show is certainly tracking like a Phantom or Lion King. It has had five years of sold out houses and grosses at usually around 1,400,000 a week. And there is a new crop of tween girls every year who will discover it and identify with it, so its audience replenishes itself. It probably still has years left at top ticket prices, and then will have a whole extended life when it eventually starts to discount.

Begin at the beginning and go on till you come to the end: then stop.

Wouldn't it be the biggest twist if he turned out to be Bjork?

A little known fact is that in the original screenplay, Pan's Labyrinth was Pan's FLAByrinth. Hmmmmmmm...glad they changed it.

Okay, this is enough. Jesus Christ, I feel like i'm watching Carrie. Look at this; a helplessly naive teen being screamed at perpetually for almost nothing. So he made a dumb post- it doesn't mean you have to crucify him. Yes, I agree his "estimates" are completely heinous. Yet if you really thought he is "in the woumb" (nice mis-spelling), would you waste 4 pages of convo ridiculing him? Have a heart.
(By the way, it would be HILARIOUS if he turned out to be Bjork).

Mamma Mia will live long enough to break the house record at the Winter Garden.

The overall level of idiocy on the board is quite high right now. For example; "He seems to still be in the woumb.".

WOUMB? Are you people serious?

And did anyone look at the Broadway Grosses history before making predictions? And did anyone actually care to answer the thread by making their own predictions, rather than making everything personal.

I have no idea who the original poster is, never heard of him. Frankly, it is a stupid thread, of which there have always been many here. But the reaction of grown men and women to it has been absolutely ridiculous.

Grow up. Everyone.

The rain we knew is a thing of the past -
deep-delving, dark, deliberate you would say
browsing on spire and bogland; but today
our sky-blue slates are steaming in the sun,
our yachts tinkling and dancing in the bay
like racehorses. We contemplate at last
shining windows, a future forbidden to no one.
