Where exactly can operating costs be cut, once recouped?

That’s what I was thinking too. I didn’t understand the earlier reply of “operating expenses go down after recoupment.”
Obviously they’re doing everything they can to keep it going. Wayne Brady was a decent choice. I’m sure they’re calling up everyone they possibly can with offers. Jessie J, Carly Rae Jepsen, Avril Lavigne, Hillary Duff, Ashlee Simpson, Keke Palmer, Ciara, Ashley Tisdale, Vanessa hudgens, Dove Cameron, Miranda Cosgrove, Victoria Justice. Keep the gravy train going

Probably means nothing other than my edible kicking in…but I found it interesting that almost every open run is selling tickets through March or April. There are three shows mentioned in this thread that are only selling through January: Hell’s Kitchen, Moulin Rouge, and Six.
Just In Time & Maybe Happy Ending are also only selling through January, but I don’t think those are on the death watch. There will be future casting for MHE, and either an extension or closing for JIT based on Geoff’s contract.

We have eyes and understand math. Their music catalogue alone catapults their baseline expenses. Their break even is absolutely over $1mil. And the roles aren’t like Chicago that any old star could go into it. MR also typically doesn’t do as well as other long running shows over the holidays. And only really has stronger Fall and Winter when Aaron went back. It’s had a great run, the music is dusty, the show is a bit tired, it’d be fine for it to close and not at all embarrassing.

I hope so. Maybe that's why there's a construction or some sort of renovation currently happening in the balcony area of the theater.
