ShowScore format change- Page 2

I did hear back from an email I sent last week:

Thanks so much for getting in touch — I completely understand how confusing it can be not to see your review appear straight away.

Your review has been safely saved and counted. We’re in the middle of a big set of improvements to Show-Score, which means reviews aren’t appearing immediately on profiles or show pages right now. Full synchronisation is expected by March 2026.

You’ve already seen the first part of this work with new survey questions and the $100 monthly draw, and there’s a lot more coming that we’re really excited about.

Nothing is broken on your end, and you don’t need to do anything — your review will be published automatically as soon as this phase of the project is complete.

That kind of seems like something that should appear on the front page of their site.

I also asked if I could download the reviews I had already posted to the site, and the answer was no. So I took screen grabs of the 450 reviews I have up there, just in case the site shuts down unexpectedly.

I went to upload a review today. I encountered six screens / questions regarding the show I was reviewing. Three of the six screens contain just one-word with an emoji for your selection. For example: What did you like? - Acting, Direction, Costumes, +16 other descriptors. Then there are seven screens that are shaking you down for other marketing information like How often do you go to theater?, Tell us specifically about these other live events - they listed Every Brilliant Thing, Two Strangers, Liberation (which is weird because it is closed), Book of Mormon and CAT'S: The Jellicle Ball. Seen It? Heard of It? Not Heard of It? Which of these actors would you pay to see in another show?- They list of 11 actors. Where do you go for show info? -Select from an exhaustive list of media/publications/social sites, theater web sites.

After all that, the final screen asks: How would you describe the show to a friend in one or two sentences?  Six emoji buttons are there for those who do not want to type text. I input two paragraphs. It thanked me for my review and said I would not be able to see it uploaded to my profile until the site is fully synchronized. Expected by March 2026. 

Not a good user experience at all.

This site bought by a bigger company needs to be laid to rest.

Maybe a better, stronger more reliable site will be born.   Show Score seems dead anymore.
