I know that 'The Phantom of the Opera', 'Wicked' and 'The Lion King' have all recouped and handsomely too.

A Little Night Music apparently recouped their initial investment, not sure where they stand with all of the money put in for Peters & Stritch.

I do not recall BILLY ELLIOT recouping...but it's possible.

You want to know about the likelihood both shows will be still running in April? Just look at their grosses, and pay attention to how many weeks the show grosses below $500,000.

AVE Q recouped within its first season on Broadway. Off-Broadway shows generally do not announce, but it at the very least appears to be keeping its head above water.
