I really would love to see a revival of Carrie. I have a DVD of the original and many of the problems with the show is the staging of it. With some reworking of the book and Debbie Allen tied up in a closet somewhere far far away I really think it could be a wonderful show. How amazing would it be to see Broadway's biggest flop turn around and become a huge success! It could totally happen!

The two I Want to see:
Aida and Miss Saigon on Broadway again
I would kill for "Carrie" to be back on Broadway especially if they kept Betty Buckley. Before they took it off that site, "And Eve was Weak" was one of my favorite videos to watch.
I'd love to see "Rags" get revived. And, I agree with AlmostFamous2. I saw "7 Brides" pretty recently and thoroughly enjoyed myself.
I have a special place in my heart for 'The Baker's Wife' it needs a little help with where Act One ends but I think it's a beautiful score that needs another chance! Anyone?

many others I could name if I thought about it.
I don't think there are very many shows that "need" a revival - I'd rather see new, creative pieces.
However, I think there a few shows that deserve a revival:
Ragtime
No, No, Nanette
West Side Story
South Pacific (but it's coming)
Shows that i'd like to see revived:
Crazy for You
My One and Only
Evita
Hello, Dolly!
Mack and Mabel
oklahoma and gypsy were here very recently, but they still should be revived! they shouldn't have closed!
i would also love my fair lady to be revived....but maybe they could wait a couple more years so i could be in the running to be eliza haha
I'd like to see Urinetown come back in about five or ten years.
I also really hope that SOMEDAY Dirty Rotten Scoundrels will come back to Broadway!

Can you imagine hearing someone singing "Baghdad! Don't underestimate Baghdad!" today?
what if HAIR was revived???? ha ha. It would be DOMINATED by RENT!!! YEAH RENT!
Woman in White (with sets)
Pippin (with Arden)
Steel Pier (revised book)
Carrie (duh)
Triumph of Love (cuz I love it)
I think Hair has a lot more to say then RENT ever did. Hair is probably in the top ten greastest shows ever written. In the ranks with shows like A Chorus Line, Jesus Christ Superstar, Oklahoma, Showboat, and pieces that really changed the way we see theatre, I don't think RENT did that. I would love to see Hair revived but not as a period piece more as an updated commentary on the war in Iraq!

"Parade" because it is absolutely beautiful. It closed prematurely.
"The Last Five Years" with two solid performers as Jamie and Cathy. Oh man, if they somehow got Sherie Rene Scott and Norbert Leo Butz. Who knows if they'd ever do it, but if they did a concert performance, I would spend a lot of money to see it.

CITY OF ANGELS. It's one of the most neglected Best Musical Tony winners ever. The book could use a little tinkering (especially the ending) but it's almost there.
CAMELOT has a wonderful score, but that book needs some serious pruning--plus the staging would have to be SPECTACULAR. I've always kind of resented the fact that this musical, which should have been a perfect choice for screen adaptation, was filmed so lifelessly. I have the exact same complaint about CAROUSEL.
