Not because it was a holiday week, but it was just their normal schedule.
Are you looking for a list of shows or what?

What thread can I come up with next?

Elf was a pretty consistent 9+ show week if I remember correctly.
Asmith, thank you for answering.
And I believe both engagements of The Grinch included 10-13 shows a week. I believe on Saturdays they would do four shows (11AM, 2PM, 5PM, 8PM).
Thanks to you akarp, as well.

There wasn't even a question!
I think it's about standard for the non-Broadway alternative shows (not traditional Off-B) - especially holiday productions like the previously mentioned Elf and Grinch at the MSG. Certainly the famous Radio Hall Christmas Spectacular qualifies. I assume a previous Cirque du Soleil production that was in a tent (?) had more than 8 shows per week.

For the runs of both The Grinch and Elf on Broadway they had more than 8 shows a week. I know at least The Grinch did, could be wrong about Elf. But, regardless, in order for that to happen on Broadway, the produces had to get permission from every single Broadway union. That's exactly what at least Grinch did during its time on Broadway.
Things like Radio City Christmas Spectacular, Cirque's touring shows etc are a totally different thing altogether because they are in different unions.

Yes, at its engagement at the Hirschfeld, Elf did multiple (6 I think) weeks with at least 9 performances.

Generally speaking, the CBAs already cover the topic of weeks with an excess of eight performances. What the producers did do was pay a whole bunch of overtime.

Wow. I don't know how some of you get through life being such jerks. Perhaps you're only this rude behind the cloak of anonymity that is this message board.
A thread is entitled "shows with over 8pm perfs a week" and you really need help figuring out what the OP wants to know? Or do you just jump on every chance to be condescending when graciousness and kindness are just as easy?
Anyway, OP, I have never heard of any Broadway show that has had a regular schedule of 9 performances a week, other than limited engagements already mentioned.
Lion King, Mormon, and Wicked have reliably had one or two 9-show weeks every summer for the last few years .
