Much better than "Priscilla". I enjoyed it just as much as "Morman" but I guess in a different way.

I just got back from New York and I saw the matinee of Sister Act on Wednesday. I loved it!

Well I love starting a “funnest” thread! Glad to get a general consensus. Love getting people talking! Yea I thought it was just a fun show!! Still haven’t seen Priscilla, keep getting mixed word of mouth from people!!! I just hope it sticks around and finds an audience. Cant never tell. I mean I am shocked to see Catch me if you can have such a short life, but look at dare I saw it…”Rain” that lasted way tooooo long!! Then theres the Addams Family…have yet to see that one! Once again I get mixed word of mouth on that one! Then theres Baby Its You…never saw it, never wanted to! Cant really tell on shelve life these days!

Also the marketing is all wrong for Sister Act…Poster makes it look awkward in my opinion! defygravity24 I completely agree with you! Its rare I spend $100 (last time I did that was Next to Normal closing weekend and Follies in DC…don’t regret either). I live off Rush haha! So its nice to give shows a chance I wouldn’t normally have.

But all in all definatly recommend it to everyone for just a fun night out!

In my opinion.. a disappointing mess of a musical from start to finish with no redeeming value whatsoever.

They took a fantastic movie and made it superficial and thrown together like yesterday's hash. A disappointing score.

The nuns learned to sing in 15 seconds??

I can't believe this is still running.

I liked every other musical this season better than this
including Baby It's You and Priscilla and Mormon and Catch Me if you Can.

Hope it has a decent run! I mean I am suprised Addams Family lasted as long as it did!!

The reason I am so vociferous and so relentless in bashing this musical.. is that this is the kind of show that gives theatre a bad name.

Strictly there for commercial reasons with no redeeming theatrical or social value whatsoever and no improvement on the movie.


Since this is a free board and free country, I will bash this show wherever and whenever I can.

If I have to listen how people think this Nunsical is the second coming of Christ, I feel it is my duty nail all of you to a cross and set you straight.

So for todays levity....what is the difference between Jesus and a picture of Jesus.






It only takes 1 nail to hang a picture.

^ Well, while you're at it, keep posting that you thought A Sister Act was worse than Baby, SH*T's You; please. It'll give you greater credibility.

I was expecting a forgettable screen-to-stage adaptation. But it had a different tone from the movie and it was just adorable to see Patina on stage. Raise Your Voice was cleverly staged, I thought.
