Last night I saw the lion king here in Chicago and I was third row seat 15(which is the end of the row. I loved it for the sole reason of getting to peak into the backstage. I just saw this one fat white guy running around like a maniac and the only problem I had was he wasn't wearing black. It didn't even seem like he was trying to hide. Also it was hard to see Pride rock and mufasas face, but I didnt really get worked up about it.

If we're not having fun, then why are we doing it? These are DISCUSSION boards, not mutual admiration boards. Discussion only occurs when we are willing to hear what others are thinking, regardless of whether it is alignment to our own thoughts.

I sat front row all the way on the side for Speed The Plow. I got to see Piven's quick change. And he may be a d-bag but he looked good.

I sat on the side for HEDWIG, and didn't see any quick changes (what quick changes?) or stagehands running around. In fact, I barely saw he stage even they were not sold as Partial View and were full price.

It depends on the theater. The Winter Garden, where I work, is an extremely wide theater. The far sides should be avoided at all costs, although they are usually good about warning you they are obstructed.

I don't see how the Hedwig producers got away with selling partial view tickets without identifying them as such. I sat there too. I emailed the production company but never heard back. Annoying.
