Anyone see any snow discounts for tonight besides Billy/Mamma Mia? Vaguely remember a few last year during the big whiteout.
Yes I know it's a busy week and the tourists are still in town.

$22 is a great deal.
got a text from my friend who's stuck in the city and she got a free ticket to Rock of Ages tonight.
According to Emily Skinner, you can get $30 tickets to Billy Elliot and you don't have to be a student:

Yo! You can get $30 tickets for both BILLY ELLIOT shows tomorrow (mon Dec 27th) if you go to the box office and just say "I want the student rush ticket!"---and you don't even have to be a student!
So, if you feel like braving the blizzard, come see us at the Imperial Theater!
considering they expect the snow to be done by noon tomorrow, a good amount of people might be able to use those discounts.
I'm curious about something. Whenever I go to NYC (going there March 15-18, 2011), there weather is usually good. Whenever the weather is really, really bad (as in a blizzard), what happens with stage dooring? Do any shows ever switch the stage door to inside the theatre for especially terrible weather? I was wondering about that as I've seen the snow weather reports. from RC in Austin, Texas...where it's dry but cold @ 31F (2:20 a.m. CST).
I just saw this on Greg Jbara's facebook (sorry if it's already been posted):
Gregory Jbara

If only Monday was December 29! - Yep, he's corrected it to Monday 12/27.
I really want to see La Cage, but I'm only in town for a couple more days, the discount is invalid this week and I've unsuccessfully tried to rush a few times, so I'm hoping they'll have some kind of discount today. I follow them on Twitter, but if anyone hears anything, please post it here!

No. The doormen and crew will do whatever is necessary to safely get the actors home (or in their cars, or whatever). They don't care (nor should they) that a few fans don't get their autographs and photos. Where did you get the idea that you'd be entitled to some sort of stage door "experience" regardless of the weather?
I have wanted to see Emily Skinner since she started in the role as Mrs. Wilkinson two months ago - after I read about the $30 tickets for today's shows, I knew I would jump at the chance. Just trudged through the snow to the theater only to find that she is out for the matinee! Oh well...

^I'd imagine quite a few actors are out today. There's literally no way to get to Manhattan from where I live in Brooklyn- none of the trains that come anywhere near here are in service and the roads aren't clear. If I were in a show, I would have slept over in the city last night.
In regards to stage dooring, why would you wait through a blizzard just for an autograph? You can send to the theater for a cast signed playbill. Yesterday at Night Music everyone stayed insce, I was walking past and they announced it, and from the quintet Kevin David Thompson was walking outside and very kindly signed. Other than that the wind and snow combination was enough to make the die-hard fans leave.

I'd love to take advantage of these discounts but I'm out on Long Island and the LIRR still isn't running due to the storm.
from the film "All About Eve": Eve Harrington: "All I asked was a simple question." At no point did I mention or indicate any sense of entitlement. That conclusion comes soley from you adamgreer. Your bad. from RC in Austin, Texas
