Sweet Charity is heading straight to Torono after London, opening March 2011. So it won't be on for the next season for sure, if at all.
Really Usefull Group are trying to stage Evita, but due to Elena Rogers commitment with Passion at Londons Donmar and hoped for West End transfer, Evita could not happen until end of 2011.
Anything Goes I head was heading to the Roundhouse.
Dirty Dancin'? Lord I hope it doesn't EVER make it to B'way. By all the accounts from those that I know saw it: horrid.

Dirty Dancing isn't a revival though...
Be nice to see something like Crazy For You revived... Its a shame they never transfered Londons 2006 Porgy and Bess, it would have gone down really well in NY I always felt.
Passion is already a hit in London. I believe its entire run at the Donmar has been sold out and it doesn't open until September. If it gets the expected great reviews I wouldn't at all be surprised to see it back on Broadway. It's time has come.
Passion is not completely sold out. While most shows are sold out or have limited availability, there are still many performances available.

The 2006 London revival of PORGY & BESS (apparently shortened and condensed to fit the attention span of theater people rather than opera people, who do, after all, sit through 5 hours of Wagner on occasion) had a great cast but seemed to be in the wrong theater. Everyone I know who saw it talked about the small stage being a limiting factor on some fine singing and dancing. Wish I had seen it because the music is so glorious.
What's going on with the Follies rumors? I would love to have that next season.
And, of course, Side Show would be wonderful.
My only feeling about a revival of "Passion", is that I think a lot of "younger" Sondheim fans may enjoy seeing it. As it was a short run on Broadway, and to my knowledge, its not done in regional theatre that much. I think a Roundabout-like run of 'Passion" would be good.
And, question. Where does it say in stone that the first show to play the Sondheim Theatre has to be a Sondheim show? It doesn't say that anywhere. So if Pee Wee does come, can we not all freak out and try to kill Pee Wee with our razorblades, and bake him? Thanks.
