Sondheim Playbill Help

Hey all,

I'm currently working on a documentary on Sondheim for school. I'm looking for pictures of old playbills from his shows. Can anyone help me out with pictures of playbills or access to a good database where I can find some.
The shows I'm looking for are:
West Side Story
Gypsy
Anyone Can Whistle
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum
Company
Follies
Pacific Overtures
A Little Night Music
Sweeney Todd
Merrily We Roll Along
Sunday in the Park with George
Into the Woods
Assassins
Passion
Road Show

Thanks

Thanks, CyCoSpAz2, for your rude and unhelpful response. It's people like you who give this board an awful reputation.

Actually CyCo is correct. You can find them there. Or at least some. I just went and looked and found most of the ones on your list.

Even easier, you won't have to copy and paste the link! This one's clickable! Whooo!

re: Sondheim Playbill Help

Yea I just searched them all and had trouble finding maybe one or two. Sorry for not handing you the direct links all in one nice compact post, but in the time you spent attacking me, you could have found most of what you were looking for.

Exactly CyCo. It took me less than 2 minutes to find them.

Your question was answered. It's not our job to actually DO your work.

CyCo was neither rude or unhelpful. It's YOUR project. If you'd take the simplest of ways to look yourself that would have been a different story.

Isn't part of the joy of making a documentary discovering the information for yourself? This isn't even hard stuff to find!

Agreed. Working on a project for school means doing the research, not going to a site and asking for someone to just hand it to you. You would have been lost years ago when our main source of info was the encyclopedia!

re: Sondheim Playbill Help

As a matter of fact, I've been researching extensively for the past 2 months. The reason I posted here was not just to find the answers quickly. I've been searching for good, high quality Playbill images for some time. For the project, I need pictures of higher resolution than what I (and some of you) have been able to find on Google. I was hoping that someone here might now of some sort of database with larger images, good quality images. Apparently, I didn't convey that properly in my original post. Sorry.

re: Sondheim Playbill Help

You won't find high res stuff on line...takes too much space. Besides...that kind of stuff is "owned" by the production and the photographer.

re: Sondheim Playbill Help

You will if someone has a physical copy, scans it, and posts it. You make it sound like hi-res stuff doesn't exist online at all. While a lot of people live in a 72 dpi world, that's not the case for everyone.

re: Sondheim Playbill Help

markus, I suggest you be more specific if you should post again asking for help with someone. We can't read your mind so we didn't know that you have been looking and exactly what you were looking for.
