2 friends and I are performing in a showcase next week and we are having some issues picking out a song. There is one guy (me) and two girls, however, gender is not the most important thing. It does not necessarily have to be something that was written for 3 people but it has to be something that can work when divided between 3 people. It also has to be appropriate for school. We want it to be something fun and any help you can offer would be great.

Friendship from Anything Goes
3 Little Maids from The Mikado
Step Too Far from Aida (but I guess that isn't really 'fun')
Been A Long Day from How To Succeed
"The Riddle" - The Scarlet Pimpernel (2 males, one female)
"Are You On the Bus" - Leap of Faith (3 girls, but not really gender specific)
"Through the Looking Glass" - WONDERLAND can be slimmed down to 3
"Trying Not to Notice" - Woman in White (2 girls, one male)
"Falling Out of Love" - White Christmas (3 girls, but not really gender specific)
I mean there is Man Up from Book of Mormon but that's kinda inapproiate but it is meant for 3 people. I don't know just a thought!

There's always Two Ladies from Cabaret.
If you want something really fun try something like Matchmaker or at the Ballet.
Superboy and the Invisible Girl instantly sprang to mind, and you have the right genders too!
"Triplets" from The Band Wagon
"Old Friends" from Merrily We Roll Along
"Pretty Lady" from Pacific Overtures

Gotta Get A Gimmick from Gypsy
Not Me from Aida
"Now"/"Later"/"Soon" from A Little Night Music
"Sing For Your Supper" - The Boys From Syracuse, Rodgers and Hart
Depending on the level of 'drama' you want to do, I'll second The "I Love You" Song from SPELLING BEE. It's beautiful, but might not be what you're looking for. Some other ones:
Been a Long Day from HOW TO SUCCEED might be your best bet from what I've got. (2 women, 1 man.)
Three Friends from CLOSER THAN EVER (2 women, 1 man)
There's Gotta Be Something Better Than This from SWEET CHARITY (3 women)
He Plays the Violin from 1776 (2 men, 1 woman, kind of hard to do that one any other way.)
Pretty Little Picture from FORUM (2 men, 1 women, very silly.)
Fugue for Tinhorns from GUYS AND DOLLS (3 men, very short.)
Who I'd Be from SHREK (2 men, 1 women... but really, the men are an Ogre and a Donkey, so whatever.)
Also, TICK, TICK... BOOM! is written for three, 2 men and a woman, so that can be a good source for you if any suits your needs.

Someone mentioned "Superboy and the Invisible Girl." I'll just add a few more from Next to Normal that come to mind: "Song of Forgetting" and "Better Than Before." These are for 3 singers and I think are appropriate for school. Although if my memory is correct, Better Than Before might require some minor changes to language.

Thanks to everyone for your quick suggestions, we decided to go with been a long day
Three Friends from CLOSER THAN EVER (2 women, 1 man)
If you check the lyrics it refer to three women: Alice, Angela and Nancy. It was done with 2 women + a man in CLOSER THAN EVER because of the 4-person 2-man, 2-2woman cast.
Cast albums are NOT "soundtracks."
Live theatre does not use a "soundtrack." If it did, it wouldn't be live theatre!
I host a weekly one-hour radio program featuring cast album selections as well as songs by cabaret, jazz and theatre artists. The program, FRONT ROW CENTRE is heard Sundays 9 to 10 am and also Saturdays from 8 to 9 am (eastern times) on www.proudfm.com

A Loud and Funny Song from Oh, Brother!
It was written for three women, but is fairly gender neutral and plays very well out of context. Plus it's peppy and fun.
There is Easy Street from Annie, too.

"You could drive a person crazy" from Follies could be an interesting choice as well !
"In My Life/A Heart Full of Love" from Les Miserables
"Buddy's Blues" from Follies
The entire Maltby/Shire revue "Starting Here, Starting Now" was written for 2 females and one male.
Favorites from that score with all three singing:
Starting Here, Starting Now
