Songs about the Press#1

Hey there. I'm an Editor here at BWW, and I've been asked to sing at an upcoming event for a theater in my area. Since I'm theater critic, I think it would be fun to sing something that is about the press, about a writer or about language, or is, in some way, a review of something or someone. Any ideas? Keep in mind that I'm not a great singer and haven't performed in 10 years. Any ideas would be welcome!

The first songs that came to mind were Big News and Real Big News from Parade.

When I see the phrase "the ____ estate", I imagine a vast mansion in the country full of monocled men and high-collared women receiving letters about productions across the country and doing spit-takes at whatever they contain. -Kad

Marc Shaiman wrote a song called 'The Queens Behind The Scenes' which is about gay writers.

Or maybe 'Show Me' from MFL... That could be a funny twist.

"TheatreDiva90016 - another good reason to frequent these boards less."<<>> “I hesitate to give this line of discussion the validation it so desperately craves by perpetuating it, but the light from logic is getting further and further away with your every successive post.” <<>> -whatever2
