I went to the Box Office today to try and get tickets. It took forever because decent seats are not available. The next Saturday matinee orchestra seats are for after Labor Day weekend and no front mezz until July 4. Poop :P
did you try getting individual seats? b/c i was having the same problem, but i ended up getting front mezz. for the first of march.. i just had to get individual tix.. i tried calling but they told me it was sold out, turns out they weren't. i just got them a week ago.

does anyone know if they have lottery or student rush??
Wow. That's insane. Here's hoping they have rush...
They'll atleast have standing room.
Yeah, when I got tickets to Spamalot, I bought mine back on the first week of January and I got like the last orchestra ticket for Feb. 17th. So I am in the very back right corner of the orchestra. I really hope it is not limited viewing.

Good for them. Yeah, I had a hard time getting a seat for March 24. I'm going for my birthday!!! But anyways, I'm definately going to try and go before then. They do have SRO. Wow, I haven't even completely registered the idea of seeing THE Tim Curry on stage. Yay!!! What am I going to wear?...

I think you might have better luck with single seats.
I was looking for 3 seats for a performance in May. I called Telecharge, instead of using the online site, and was told that the best were on Row K but close to the wall. When I asked for a single seat ( separating it from the other two sitting together), I was immediately offered B-101 at regular prices. I grabbed it
... Later on, I even rechecked with Customer Service if I had really been charged the correct price - I thought they were charging premium prices for rows close to the stage or that they sold me a different seat ( at regular price).
I got the two seated together on Row K for my sister and her husband - LOL!

It just depends, I guess. Mine was a single. And I even went to the box office.
Went Saturday & picked up 2 seats for Sunday memorial day weekend front mezzanine
After reading this thread, I went to Telecharge and was playing around searching for a single ticket, date by date by date. Nothing good was coming up at all, until suddenly there was a front row center ticket for a Friday evening in March. I wasn't seriously looking for a ticket because I am going with my family in May, but
as they say, when opportunity knocks...
Hmmm...I've been holding off on Spamalot tickets to see if I could at least get a broadwaybox discount...what do you guys advise? Do you think I should wait a little bit, or the way tickets are selling act now and deal w/ paying full price?

I would say SRO would be something for you to think about. If you don't mind the standing.
I hope DRS sells as good. Personally I think DRS is going to be better than Spamalot.
Given the story, the cast, and the positive word of mouth coming from Chicago, I doubt we'll be seeing discount codes anytime soon. I almost never spring for full price tickets; Spamalot's been the exception so far this season.
Yeah, lately Wicked has been my exception with paying full price but I decided the way Spamalot's selling, I might as well do the same for that. After playing around with the internet, I wanted to sit w/ someone, so I finally got center orch in row R for a Wednesday matinee on May 18. From waht I've seen, if days don't matter, and you're trying to get the best seats possible, Wednesday matinee seems to be the best bet. If not that, the Tuesday night seemed to be one of the only other days coming up with orchestra seats. Also, I didn't check it, but I noticed the cheapest balcony seats are selling for $36.25. That might be another option if you're not a fan of standing, though the theatre has mezz and balcony, so you'd be pretty far up. Oh well, at least I was able to get discounted DRS tickets while that still had one, I doubt it will last for long.
They are already selling T Shirts, hats & magnets before the show opens at those Tourist trap shops so that should tell you something
Are they selling the premium tickets for $200?
I went to the B.O. last week, and got 2 seats for April- Front Mezz. row B seats 1 & 3
Wow. Thats great! Im hoping itll be good. Hows DRS doing ticket-wise?
A tip - Forget getting good weekend tickets for a good long time. My guess is any good seats remaining have to be mid week
I guess I'll have to take standing room then seeing as it's so sold out. Do you know where the SRO is situated in the Shubert, I've never been there before.
I should probably get tickets for spamalot soon. I REALLY wanna see it! I'm glad it is doing well at the box office....
