Spider-Man "1.0" Material

I believe those photos are currently being referred to as "Exhibit A".

There was a video floating around on a Tumblr for a long time of Think Again with the rotating spider leg costume. Never seen video of Deeply Furious (not that I looked too hard). Can't think of any photos of the abandoned costumes or sets, either, as they realized real quick Spider-man, not made up supervillain who steals shoes for love, was the draw of the show.

My question is for anyone that saw the "before and after". Were there any drastic changes to the set? Or did they just make it work?

i saw both, they took out most of the Arachnes scenes, and the greek chorus.

What was the original staging for "Boy Falls From the Sky"?

Media and scenic elements cut from the show include

3) Later versions of Deeply Furious had a wedding chapel. The sequence existed before as a separate nightmare scene. A spider web drop was also cut, which was primarily used in this song, along with Rise Above.

4) Boy Falls From the Sky- The treadmill was cut from the song due to the telescoping Chrysler building piece which lifts from the trap immediately after the song. The time spent removing the treadmill from the lift, and rolling the Chrysler piece on, and tethering it to the wire would prove too lengthy. This video, although horribly synced, illustrates the incredible final moment, Peter running through new york. It was an incredible stage picture. 5) The three lifts on the stage apron are equipped with LED strips on the edges, used in Spider-Man! at the top of Act 2, when the lifts are above deck height. The song also incorporates the LED legs, they flash strips of yellow as Swarm enters, and slide into various positions onto the stage, fading into flashing Spider-Man colors. This is the first time the panels are used in a bold form, unlike Bullying by Numbers when they simply border with pulsing color, matching the cyc. During the fashion show, a drop similar to the POW! BANG! Bullying by Numbers piece was used, comic cutouts of the villains back-lit, exactly like the ones projected in the panels during Freak Like Me today.

7) The Goblin's hair style changed. The colors of his face changed as well.

8 ) My favorite moment of 1.0 was after If The World Should End. Mary Jane was abducted in a flash of light, and appears far upstage, held by Swiss Miss and another villain. The ramp lifts to a dizzying height. Peter runs up, but alas, he has lost his powers and cannot rescue Mary Jane. He slides to the stage. LB2, thanks for all of that! I saw 1.0 in January before they shut it down. While it was a mess overall, I saw potential in what they had. It really was a visually stunning show, they just couldn't get everything together to make it work. I haven't seen 2.0 to compare, but it was great seeing some of these scenes again as envisioned. The set for "Love Me or Kill Me" caused the performance I saw to stop for about 4 minutes as the web net was tangled as they were setting it in place. Momentum was killed, this being the climax of the show.

Yes; it's easy to forget how truly incoherent it was because visually and conceptually, it was SO much more interesting than what made it. That spinning Arachne costume truly was stunning.

And I really miss the original staging of Boy Falls From the Sky.

The show used to be a huge bowl of human crap with a whole bunch of 24-karat diamonds sprinkled into it. Now it is a bowl of cold, homogenous canned tomato soup that has been left out so long that it has that weird soup-skin on the top of it.

She still does. Definitely the best of the Sinister Six, visually; probably got the most of Julie's attention.

Think Again is actually an awesome song. I wish it got to be sung by someone who fit the vocal part.
