During this unprecedented time, I have also developed a temporary soft spot for bootlegs (I don't usually approve of them), since seeing a lot of the newer shows live is not possible, and they all might close in the near future. I've seen the bulk of the what-would-have-beenfull musical season, sansTinaandDiana, which I've heard are both terrible (Warren singlehandedly saves the former from complete disaster) and I had no interest in seeing them live anyway pre-shutdown. I haven't tracked downGirl from the North Countryyet, and here's hopingSing Streetgets pushed back and not scrapped. I found an audio ofMrs. Doubtfirefrom Seattle, and from what I have heard,Tootsieis much better (both scores are lousy, though).
When all is said and done, some time after B'way reopens- '21, '22, or beyond- I will probably go back to despising bootlegs. But thanks to them, they are keeping me sane right now and for the foreseeable future.

Say what you want, but I am NOT being a hypocrite. Times have changed, and seeing live theatre is no longer possible for now and the foreseeable future. Newer shows will close. Bootlegs are the only way to "see" them in the COVID-19 saga. Never in the world would I have thought I would approve of them one day... but here we are.
and yet for so many people, they’re the only way they’d ever see a show even without a pandemic. So your argument is just as valid as those you condemn.
and let me just add that, to this point at least, there has been an incredible wealth of (legal) stuff made available on the internet since the pandemic began that should satisfy the cravings of even the most inveterate theatre-goer. Lots of experiences that would be unimaginable in any other circumstance (and that doesn't even include getting to see what everyone's home looks like).

Hypocrisy-the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform; pretense.
Seems fitting....

What do you think will likely come of the planned Tommy revival? - Likely to still happen, since it was always intended for 2021? Unlikely to happen because of funding issues or the desire for a wider appealing show?
I'm not gonna lie. I'm even more of a classic rock fan, than I am a theater fan. Plus, right before they announced the revival, I had taken time to really dig into the original album & found myself comparing Tommy to modern social media stars, etc. It's like the producers got in my head & decided to run with it. - So, needeless to say, I've gotten excited about that one.
People are out and about in the city. Thousands of people crowding the streets. How are they not letting people come together for certain things, and yet they do nothing to stop the crowds elsewhere. BS

I am not sure what your point is. If you are suggesting that because people are on the street they can just as safely be inside a theatre, your premise is wrong. The data tells us that the risk outdoors is low and the risk indoors, especially in large numbers, is very high.
I was hoping we’d get some good scientific data from trumps coronapalooza last night but since the turnout was so low, I doubt we’ll get it.
They'll soon let people go to school and work. Again, thousands of people all over the place. On the subway, the bus, the office, the school. I don't understand how they can let that happen, but continue to keep industries in the dark.
