I've seen a number of descriptions of this book and NONE of them mention fan input. I'm thinking perhaps they scrapped the idea.
But it does look nice!

I hope the content is similar to The Grimmerie.
Robos89, I really like your sig. There's such truth in what she said. Is that the whole quote?

Seeing as how the show has one bare breast and one bare buttock, the title of the book is rather wrong.

You know, njohn, I got the quote from a friend. It pretty much looks like the whole quote, though.
Darlin' darlin' darlin', I can't wait to see you.
Your picture ain't enough.
I can't wait to touch you, in the flesh.
Darlin' darlin' darlin', I can't wait to hear you.
Remembering your love is nothing without you in the flesh.
Went walking one day on the lower east side.
Met you with a girlfriend. You were so divine!
She said, "Hands off, this one's sweet, this boy is mine."
I couldn't resist you - I'm not deaf, dumb, and blind.
Darlin' darlin' darlin', now you're out of town.
Those girls that you run with, they bring my head down.
Ooh Darlin' darlin', watch out if I see you!
'Cause if you say hello, it'll mean you wanna see me, in the flesh.
Ooh warm and soft, in the flesh.
Ooh close and hot, in the flesh.
Ooh.
That's all I think about when I read the book's title.
Got mine today. It's really very well put together. The pictures are awesome and there's even illustrations in the margins! Ahhh!!!
I'd also like to mention that it does include fan mail excerpts as well as the translation of the name Fraulein Grossebustenhalter, which I won't spoil here, but it's pretty funny.
Ahhhhh the infamous B*****r H***er. That translation definitely made me giggle to myself. Immensely.

OK, so four years later, I'm rebringing up this thread because I just found it. Did you really get the books that cheap? I just looked online, and the cheapest one I could find was USED for $180. New, they were over $500.... *sigh*
Wow... Good thing I got mine when it first came out.
Once a book goes out of print, people try to cash in.

Oh, it's no longer in print. Explains quite a bit.... Well, they need to start printing them again, because I NEED this book!!
Not going to happen (but I think you knew that.)

Hahahaha, yeah:) I guess I'll hope for my birthday.... One of the *many* times I wish I wasn't so young when the show came out... That, and the fact I can't see it in New York lol :P
Try visiting a Half Price Books or www.half.com. Also look on eBay.

That's kinda insane how much it's going for--was it only published in limited numbers?

I would assume that the majority of the coffee table books for shows are given relatively small printings and very few re-printings. Let's face it, they are usually very beautifully produced, which means very expensive, often carry a pretty hefty price tag, and do have a very limited market, especially for a show that is no longer running, thus eliminating that guaranteed advertising to 1000 or so people eight times a week.
I actually find it very strange that it isn't in print anymore. The Rent book is still in print as is the Avenue Q book, and neither of them are running on Broadway (nor are the books available in the New World Stages lobby). The book has been $500 for about a year or so now, so it's crazy that the book sold out completely so quickly when a book like the Avenue Q book has been around for longer.
