Also how many rush seats do they have and where are they usually located?
I know its only the first day but I figure someone did rush today and will be able to tell the rest of us how it went.

I didnt go today but the b.o. told me it is the whole last row of the mezz.
Also how do they handle holding the tickets till showtime?
I'd imagine they handle it like any other will call ticket. It's not unheard of.

Last row of the mezz really? That doesn't sound like a whole lot of tickets.
They actually don't sound like bad seats considering the theater is not amazingly large.

The last two rows are $66 that you can buy in advance, right? How are they offering this as rush?

I'm thinking it could be a Whatever is left kind of thing. But when I was at the box office a couple weeks ago I asked the man about the $66 seat and he was like they are gone for most weekends i have a few weeknights left but thats it. So I don't see how those could be rush unless its only gonna be like 6 tickets a day or something.
IDK
I went to the box office the day tickets went on sale and got 2 of the $66 seats for October and was told that they were pretty much gone for the run. Are we sure it's not a "student standing room" type thing like they did for Will Farrell's show?

They also will have Standing room for $29
& Student rush for $31.50 according to a press release so it makes me think that they put aside certain seats for rush.
I remember someone saying that they couldn't get front row or something when tix went onsale. Mabey they are saving it for rush. But Today when I looked around 3PM I clicked Premium and pulled up 2 front row centers for $376 each
IDK we'll see what happens I guess
I grilled the box office guy about it yesterday. He said that the student rush tickets are $31.50 and they are set aside for students at every performance, so even if the show is sold out, there will be student rush tickets available in the morning.
I didn't ask him about the location, but if he told someone else they are in the last row of the mezz, then that's where they are.

Do we know how many they have? & how the line has been (for the first 2 shows?)
It's last row only, I believe. This morning, only 7 or so people were there by 9:45.

But the thing is the last row of the mezz is being sold on Telecharge so how do they hold them aside for rush?
I believe the last row of the center section is for student rush. It seems like Telecharge is only selling the sides of Mezz Row K, but the student rush tickets are in the center.
I just got back from the box office. Here's the deal. Standing room isn't going to be available until after opening. I was there at 12:40 and there was one student rush ticket left. They're $31.50. He took my ID, copied my last name and told me to come back after 7:30 to pick up my ticket. I have no idea where my seat is located.

I wonder why they don't just give out the tickets like every other rush. Like N2n Line up early get tickets come in at 7:55 and be ok.
Because they're trying to prevent student tickets for being resold, like what happened at JERSEY BOYS. These tickets are set aside specifically for students and not to be taken advantage of. They didn't have to do anything for students, so I am grateful and more than happy to play by their rules.

True
I agree that if the tickets are put aside for students they shouldn't be sold at $100+ to non students.
While it doesn't exactly prevent someone from scalping the ticket it is a step in the right direction.

People can still walk up at 7:30-7:35 get the tickets then sell them to someone near the theater by 8PM. but yes it's a step in the right direction
Prevent =/= stop
It prevents scalping. It does not put an end to it.

I believe row K is the last row of the mezz at that theater.
